Don’t go if you like apps on your tv. The rooms were dirty and not as advertised.

We loved everything about this hotel. Very clean, neat comfortable bed spacious room. Had good parking and convenient location for all Washington DC adventures. The included breakfast was excellent with made to order eggs and yummy choices. Every afternoon was a happy hour with snacks an adult beverage included!

Hotel was cute, rooms were dated and the gym was itty bitty. I didn’t like that the pool was used for swim lessons - even though a section is reserved for hotel guests that’s not exactly relaxing or enjoyable

I stayed here from 5/22 to 5/25 and I have to say the experience was less than mediocre. There were only 2 elevators for the entire hotel one which broke down Saturday afternoon. I was at the happy hour on 5/22 I witnessed the cook from Willies touching the food he was going to cook with his bare hands. I complained to the manager on duty and he reported that he would speak with the food and beverage manager about his behavior. However I witnessed him doing same thing on the 23rd and 24th. Needless to say I did not eat there. The breakfast offerings were mediocre. The steps from lobby level to the restaurant level was dirty. The mirror in our bathroom was literally peeling off. I wish I took a picture. The pool was not available to guest at all times due to a swim school using it. The rooms could use an update. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It should not be part of the Hilton chain. It gives Motel vibes.

While at the front desk I noticed the front desk worker, who was very polite and courteous, was wearing Meta Glasses. I’m highly doubting they were provided by the hotel so I am concerned what happens with the video of my personal details he has now recorded on his glasses.

This Embassy Suites should not be allowed as part of the Hilton brand. Horrible service and so many things in the room and in the hotel do not work. Google Embassy Suites Chevy Chase news and you will see this hotel has really struggled since the pandemic. The hotel’s general manager refuses to respond to my multiple attempts to resolve billing issues after a 16-night stay in April 2026. Recommend staying elsewhere!

The hotel appears somewhat dated and does not quite match the images posted online. The staff were friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was a very nice touch. However, the room itself was in need of upgrades, and the overall interior of the hotel could benefit from a facelift. Additionally, there were several closed businesses on the M level within the hotel, which made parts of the property feel a bit inactive. The most concerning issue was the condition of the room. When we first walked in, there was a slight smell of cannabis, the fixtures showed significant wear, and the beds were not very comfortable. While the surrounding neighborhood is pleasant, the hotel is not as close to the main Washington, DC attractions as one might expect. Transportation to the major sites required rideshare trips that averaged about $40 each way.

If I could, I'd give the Embassy Suites 3.5 stars. It was a mix of good and not-so-good. The staff is great, and check-in was easy. But the hotel itself is dated and needs a refresh. We had a top floor premium room. It was large but didn't use the space well--lots of furniture jumbled together. For a modern hotel, there weren't enough USB charge ports and I wound up moving a lamp from the living room to the bedroom to have enough electrical outlets to plug in adapters. The furniture and fixtures have seen better days. The bathroom was large with two sinks and clean, but it was the worse for wear and showed several patch-up repairs. Breakfast was nice, with a good choice of buffet items and made to order omelets, but the evening reception was understaffed, with a long line with one very overworked bartender. The snacks were a bit stingy, basically just chips, generic salsa and cheese cubes. This could be a great hotel due to its location (across from the Metro station) and proximity to American University and other places on Wisconsin Ave., but it really needs some TLC and a few more employees. Its located on top of a dead shopping mall (just a Trader Joe's and a pinball parlor are left), but that's not a huge drawback, IMO, although its a bit disconcerting taking the escalator to the lobby and passing a bunch of vacant storefronts.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to the Metro (an entrance is actually within the hotel!) -- the Red line here goes right to Union Station -- and to numerous restaurants. The room was quiet, big, and comfortable, as was the bathroom. Breakfast is included, and is great if you're satisfied with wonderful, made to order omelets: the rest is a basket of apples and oranges, along with a basket of yogurts. We'd stay here again.

The service at this hotel is BAD. Rarely someone at the front desk in the lobby, no towels available for the pool, the changing rooms for the pool were disgusting, the carts to bring luggage up and down were broken. Management needs to improve things. I’m shocked they’re even still open!!

I’ve stayed at the Chevy Chase Hilton multiple times and have generally enjoyed my visits, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Around 11:30 PM, I accidentally hit my head while picking up my hearing aid and ended up with a cut on my face that was actively bleeding. My wife went to guest services simply asking for a Band-Aid, only to be told that they didn’t have any available. We were also told that if we needed ice, we would have to go to the 4th floor ourselves. A hotel should have access to the most basic first-aid supplies, especially for a guest with a minor injury. When I came downstairs and showed staff that I was actually bleeding from my face, the response still felt dismissive and unhelpful. Thankfully, my wife remembered that I had Band-Aids in my car, so we were able to take care of the situation ourselves. What made this even more frustrating was the implication that first-aid items would only be available if they were purchased. Basic first aid for an injured guest should not be treated as a retail transaction. Other than this incident, we’ve always enjoyed our stays here, and that’s what makes this so disappointing. The hotel itself has been great, but the handling of a simple request for basic medical assistance fell far below what I would expect from a Hilton property. I hope management reviews its policies and ensures that staff have access to and can provide basic first-aid supplies when guests need them.

Really quiet, which is nice. Since all of the businesses and industry have left this pavilion area so it feels like a ghost town in there. The rooms and everything were nice, the hard part is when you travel with kids, most kids want to go to the swimming pool. However, this swimming pool is different than any other pool I’ve ever seen in a hotel. If you’re lucky, They only block off a small 1/4 of the pool for hotel guests. I guess when you’re desperate for money, you’re desperate for money! They literally do swim lessons for all the DC Beta bots that work all day in their suits and sit on their cell phones while their kids do swimming lessons in a hotel pool. I’m not gonna lie. It was pretty comical just looking at all the parents staring at their phones while their kids are swimming, they don’t even comment or talk to them as if they’re proud of them or anything. The DC machine at its best. Living in a concrete jungle…. But other than that, a great hotel if you don’t want your kids to swim in the pool. lol or if you just want to learn how to not be a bad parent, you can go watch all of these parents in the pool area.

The rooms are large enough to land a jet in! Loved the unexpected space and great panopticon view of central space leading off the rooms. Great location and a great place to stay!

I cannot really complain about the hotel. The view from our room was fantastic. Overall I would consider it great. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. Room service is great. The shower pressure is strong, it may be a little too strong but i was okay to handle it. The breakfast was great, for dinner I just wanted a Salad and honestly it was delicious. Pricey yes, but still delicious enough where I cleaned my plate. For my CONS, the shower curtain sucked, the inside liner was cut short it caused the floor to get wet with a lot of water. I had to put the entire curtain inside to help with the water. The curtain doesn't even stay closed, so no matter what you do water is spraying out. The water drained slow but not too bad where I’m standing in a pool of water. The one elevator door was not closing properly, so it ended up being stuck. I refused to dare step in that one. The pool seemed tiny and not as nice as the photos.

Hotel needs some updates.

We stayed in this hotel last year and everything was good. We recently stayed here again. Service has really deteriorated. Our room wasn't cleaned and I had to hunt down another cleaner on our floor and tell the guy to clean our room. The days our room WAS cleaned, the beds were not made properly. I had to remake the bed before going to bed. The two phones in our room weren't working. I had to go all the way down to the front desk to tell. They did send someone and he fixed the phone. On the positive side, breakfast was plentiful. The metro is conveniently located inside the hotel which is very useful. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel. I know we won't be staying at this hotel again in the future. Hotel really needs renovation badly.

Good: - Great location. - Breakfast and happy hour like every other Embassy Suites. Bad: - Average rooms, with inadequate quality control (my toilet flush was broken). - My main complaint - PARKING. I stayed for 2 nights, but parked with them for just 1 night. I was told that I would be charged for just 1 night. But the final bill was for 2 nights. I called to get 1 night reversed. I was told that they will take care of it right away. 1 week has gone by and they haven't done anything. Now I am disputing through credit card. Not happy with their customer service. Pro tip: Hotel charges $35/night (including taxes) for parking, but instead you can get overnight parking in the neighboring building for <$10 on SpotHero.

When I pay a decent amount of money for a hotel I expect to be able to adjust climate controls to my comfort level during my stay. This place locks out the AC and 65 and it barely blows any cold air. The room was warm and uncomfortable all night. Don’t book here if you like it cool when you sleep. The plusses were nice location, employees were friendly enough and the continental breakfast had good omelets. But being told by a hotel chain essentially “We’ll decide what temperature is comfortable enough for you” is unacceptable.

Very disappointed in this hotel. They charged me and my family $500 for smoking even though we had young children in the room and none of us smoked. They even said that the smoking occurred after we checked out. They will not refund my $500 and I have been using Hilton faithfully for years. Time to change that. Highly recommend finding somewhere else to stay while in Washington, DC

Very disappointed with our stay at Embassy Suites Chevy Chase. The hotel appeared neglected from the moment we arrived. The lobby was dirty, and there was food left sitting in the elevator floor for days without being cleaned or mopped. Our room AC did not work properly. We reported it multiple times to the front desk before maintenance was finally sent. We were told the unit was working, yet the thermostat was set to the lowest temperature and the room remained in the high 70s, making it uncomfortable for sleeping. Several advertised amenities were also disappointing. Nearby attractions and shopping that were mentioned, including the Cheesecake Factory and surrounding shops, were closed, and Chevy Chase Pavilion felt completely deserted. The pool had no towels available. We informed the front desk and were told more would be brought up, but they never arrived and we ended up having to go back to our room wet. Other concerns included broken glass at the entrance, hearing staff openly complain that work was not getting done, and not seeing security present during most of our stay. One morning around 5 AM, we returned to the hotel and had to stand outside in the dark waiting several minutes to be let back in. We also requested room towels multiple times and were repeatedly told none were available. The most disappointing part was management. After raising these concerns, we were told a partial refund would be issued. Despite following up multiple times afterward, that promise was never honored. As a travel agent, I pay close attention to guest experience because recommendations matter. Based on this stay, I would not feel comfortable recommending this property to my clients at this time. I understand every hotel can have an off day, but this felt like repeated issues with cleanliness, maintenance, communication, and follow through.

The breakfast selection was mediocre. The steps from the lobby to the restaurant area needed cleaning. The automatic revolving door kept getting stuck so you had to push it to get in and out. The mirror in our room was literally peeling I wish I took a picture. The AC unit was very loud. The guests did not have full access to the pool as there was a swim school using it. This hotel should not be part of the Hilton chain. It's giving Motel vibes. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This place has RATS, and deserves nagative stars. They refused to move our rooms or to issue a refund for RATS in our room. I came down at 3am in the morning to show them the video of the RATS in the room and they didn't do a thing. They only mentioned they were getting an exterminator. WTH. We had a 6 month old and two other small children. Very Unacceptable. I expected more Hilton. So disappointed. Watch the video.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was super spacious and clean, which made it easy to get comfortable after a long day of walking around the city. Having the free breakfast in the morning was a huge plus and saved me a lot of time. The location is super convenient, too. I did notbstay at the hotel but several friends did. All good. We had a private party in Willys. Good people. Good service. I also order food. It was delivered hot and tasted great. My mixed drink from the bar was superb.

Beds are super comfie, staff are so friendly, two free drinks and free breakfast were a bonus

As a 25+ year Hilton member (over 15 as daimond), I have never experienced the hidden and over charges that were not disclosed in the booking reservation like this location applied. They were unwilling to even fairly discuss the issue.
