Jane Addams Hull-House Museum

Making our way from one place to another - this was a great impromptu stop along the way. Made same day reservation for a time slot online, very easy process and at the time had no idea what to expect really. Had a great time looking around and learning some history with my partner. Got to look at art and learn quite a bit about the Hull-House and what it represents. Free and relatively short stop to break up the day a bit.

Really cool place, so much history there as Jane Addams and the women who surrounded her did amazing things. My only feedback is that there was some opportunities missed. The store was not one at all. I came ready to spend money for trinkets celebrating the visit and celebrating the field of social work during social work month and left with a couple of bookmarks.

It’s free and open to public on specific dates, you might have to book an appointment in advance. I learned a lot about the history in this area and got to make a book about this place!

As a social worker, it was a wonderful experience to visit Hull House in Chicago and discover some facts I didn't know, such as that Jane Addams (its founder) had been considered by the FBI to be the most dangerous woman in the United States. This was due to her pacifist and clearly anti-war activism.

Wonderful to see this historical sight and see how much this wonderful woman changed history
