Tremont Lounge

Tremont Lounge is a longtime gay bar on South High Street, just south of downtown Columbus and a stone’s throw from German Village. It’s been serving the neighborhood for decades, more a relaxed pub than a dance floor. Locals dominate the scene, and the bartenders are known for remembering your name and your usual order while keeping drinks reasonably priced. Weekdays it opens at 3 p.m., weekends at 1 p.m. It shuts its doors at midnight from Sunday through Thursday, then pushes on until 2:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Expect the place to fill up quickly on Saturday night. If you need a change of scenery, the Short North—home to most of Columbus’s other gay bars—is only a short drive or rideshare up High Street.
