Higgs Beach

This is one of the major beaches on the Key. And it is so accessible from the center of town. So if you want to go to the beach and you are in Key West, this is easy and pleasant.

Google says Higgs beach is suitable for swimming but I didn’t see anyone in the water. The beach is as rocky as Fort Zachary.

A small beach full of sargasms and other algae giving off their well-known smells and giving the water a brown color. Not very nice to swim in...

Beautiful view of sunrise. Woke up early to see the sunrise on my last day in key west. Easy to park. Has the long pier plenty of room for everyone. Many seats along the pier. Was a wonderful way to start my day.

Great snorkeling, we started off the pier and followed the Pylons out... We saw 2 Nurse shark, hundreds of fish, dozens of conch and a handful of lobster. Would definitely recommend for shore snorkeling

Not the most famous Key West Beach we enjoy our visits here very much. I go Snorkeling and my Lady Suns herself. We will pack a Picnic Basket and a Cooler of Cold Drinks

Very beautiful public beach located south of Key West, near the Southernmost point. It has several parking spaces in front in a safe area. It is a medium-length beach with some other points of interest in the area (African Graves, Aids Memorial, Edward Knight Pier and Martello Tower). It has a pleasant sand to walk, swimming pool without waves, pleasant to enter, shallow by a good piece of water. Nice beach, which was filling up throughout the morning. We did not snorkel.There is a beautiful small pier, cool for pictures of the beautiful sea. In addition there are some caramanchons, beach volleyball courts and a children's toy area. When we went there were some parts in works. I recommend visiting one of the best beaches in Key West.

The best moment was the journey to Key West, breathtaking views along the 170 mile route, the long Seven Mile Bridge in the middle of the ocean, the inhabited places are nothing special in my opinion. Recommended travel by rental car.

When I visited Higgs Beach in Key West, I was captivated by its soft sands and serene ocean views. I spent time walking under the swaying palm trees and took a refreshing waddle in the calm, turquoise waters. Snorkeling near the shore is a highlight for visitors. The stroll was the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure.

The water was super clear. We snorkeled around the pier as well. The food at Salute Beach Bar restaurant was excellent. The beach is a little on small side. Two chairs and and umbrella was $25.

It’s not a beach. There’s seaweed and rocks everywhere and you can’t enjoy the water.

Great little beach. Free parking. Good bathrooms and outdoor shower. Kids playground. Restaurant nearby

Awesome beach with free parking! There are bathrooms. There is a pier that has stairs going down into the beautiful water.

Fantastic beach Long shallow waters. Fine-grained and absolutely wonderful sand. Shower and toilet available.
