Los Angeles has a couple of well-known outdoor gay meeting spots. The most famous is Griffith Park, whose wooded hillside trails above Los Feliz have drawn a discreet daytime crowd since the 1960s. Down on the coast, Ginger Rogers Beach (Will Rogers State Beach) — the “Ginger Rogers” gay section of Will Rogers State Beach in Pacific Palisades — is the city's historic gay beach.
