Tribe is a gay bar on Church Street in Midtown, right next to the Play dance club. Where Play is the dance-and-drag half, Tribe is the drinks half: a sit-down cocktail bar with a patio and video screens. The crowd is mostly local gay men, often a bit older than next door. It opens at 15:00 on weekdays and 13:00 at weekends, until 02:00. Happy hour and weekend nights are the busiest, and many people move back and forth to Play later in the night. Prices are mid-range.

Updating: Primarily a Gay bar. Great drinks, they only have food during certain times. So be sure to ask. Shout out to Julian a wonderful bartender and so kind! Unfortunately can't speak too highly of the other bartenders - we felt in the way and an inconvenience. Didn't feel welcome as females. Heard the same from another woman. We left early. We are LGBTQ family too. So disappointing. It really sucks bc we are a small group as it is.
