Beefy King is an old-fashioned sandwich counter on North Bumby Avenue, just off Orlando's Milk District, that has been serving steamed roast beef sandwiches since the late 1960s. The menu is short: beef, ham, turkey and pastrami sandwiches, plus tater tots and shakes. Prices sit at the bottom of the scale. It's a mainstream local institution and gay-friendly, not a gay venue. Lunch is the busy time, and the drive-thru line can spill back toward the street. Hours are limited, especially on weekends, so check before you make the trip.

Love places like Beefy King. It’s been around since 1968, and you can tell the second you walk in. It still has that old-school Orlando feel that you just don’t get at newer restaurants. Nothing fancy, nothing trying too hard, just good food, good service, and a place with a ton of history and character. It’s honestly cool to see a local spot that’s been around this long and still feels like itself. Definitely one of those Orlando places that’s worth checking out, especially if you like old-school restaurants with some real charm.

This place is incredible. Nostalgia and great food. I don't know how they can possibly have any 1 star reviews. I live in Illinois and about once a month I debate if I have enough money to fly down to Florida just to eat at Beefy King. I can promise if I am ever in the area, I am stopping in. Keep up the great work.
