Dirty Franks is a classic Philadelphia dive bar at 13th and Pine, on the edge of the Gayborhood. It isn't a gay bar; it's a mixed, artsy neighbourhood bar with a gay-friendly crowd, known for cheap beer, quick service and walls covered in local art through its Off The Wall Gallery. It's cash-friendly, no-frills and busy in the evenings with students, artists and old regulars. The Gayborhood's dedicated gay bars on 12th and 13th Streets are a block or two away, which makes it an easy stop before or after.

Folks were quietly reading or on their phones. The bar itself is dark wood with plenty of seating at the counter and some booths tucked away. It's a low-key stop with a somewhat worn but comfortable feel.

15 minutes while the Bartender just talked, didn’t wait on anybody my son waited patiently.. She put up her finger to him and then when I tried to get a drink, she just put up her finger to me also. Won’t serve us for no reason. The real issue is, she wasn’t even serving anyone. Maybe a bar With regulars,but come on. Rude.
