Completely unhygienic. Absolutely disgusting. I traveled for two nights with my son and stayed in one of the log cabins. Both beds had dirty sheets. One had urine, stains and dirt on the sheets and a pillow. We arrived after hours, and were forced to share the other slightly dirty bed for night. We reported the problems with the sheets three times, each time being guaranteed that we would be provided new sheets. I even said they could just hand me the sheets and I’ll put them on myself. The only thing that happened was that housekeeping went into the bedroom and made the beds, keeping the same dirty sheets on. We were forced to share the same bed for the second night. Following our stay, I reported the problem again on the phone to the front desk and then sent an email to the manager, as well as a follow up email, both of which had no response. Absolutely would never stay here again. Would like to warn everyone not to stay here. They just don’t care. I’ve only written this review after six attempts to receive resolution to this problem both during our stay or afterwards, but Aramark is silent.

Nice campground with level, clean sites. When we checked in we were provided no information on the available bike and boat rentals or features of the campground and surrounding area. The front desk staff we dealt with were unenthused and terse, and insisted they had "full hook-ups", electric and water were provided but only a pump out station was available. We did learn that the clean laundry room and showers were complimentary, the quarters simply activated the equipment.

Although the setting on Lake Crescent is beautiful, this was a terrible campground for tent camping. The CG is a single small loop, which was a parking lot of RVs, mostly 5th wheel behemoths. My site was about 15x15, not counting the space for parking my car, right next to the picnic table, with the single-lane 6 feet from the edge of my tent. People arrived as late as 10pm with diesel trucks towing RVs which took a substantial time to park and set up. Kids racing around the loop on small electric bikes. No shade, privacy or quiet. Staff was rude and uninterested. Comfort stations were filthy.

Cute little cabins, but they have their quirks. Pros - nice location at a very pretty lake; your own bedrooms and bathroom; best of all: the cabins are pet-free. The restaurant is a definite pro. We got in pretty late (about 40 minutes before closing), but the staff was accommodating and the food was great. I had seen negative reviews, but I enjoyed both things I ordered. Cons - parking (for the 7 cabins, there are 5 or 6 spaces plus 2 handicap spaces [oddly between cabins] we had to park at the restaurant overnight and haul our things up the hill); the front door to the cabin has a large plate glass window but absolutely no blinds or curtains

I wanted to love this place because the location on Lake Crescent is absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, our experience with Chalet 1A was very disappointing. We booked our stay in June 2025 for a June 2026 visit. At the time of booking, the resort map showed a communal fire ring. We planned our meals and family activities around being able to cook over a fire and roast marshmallows with our young children. When we arrived, we were informed that the communal fire pit was no longer available. We were not notified of this change before our trip, despite booking a year in advance. The chalet only has a mini refrigerator and microwave, so this significantly affected the plans we had made. The condition of the chalet was an even bigger concern. During our stay, I had a mouse run between my legs in the middle of the night while I was in the bathroom. We also heard mice running and chewing every night, and there was evidence of rodent activity in the chalet. I encountered many carpenter ants, including swarmers, and even woke up with one crawling on my face. There were also maintenance issues, including a broken bed frame, large openings in the exterior of the building, a large gap in the back door between the frame, and exposed sharp metal on the floor. To the resort’s credit, management responded to the maintenance concerns after I reported them. They acknowledged that the condition of the chalet negatively affected our stay, stated that the issues had been referred to maintenance, and offered a 30% refund of our lodging charges. Even with the 30% refund, I personally would not have paid that amount to stay in the chalet given the condition we experienced. I’ve gone backpacking and tent camping where I felt more comfortable than I did in this chalet.

Stayed one night in an a frame. Large room with clean bedding and carpet. Rustic finishes. Great bar and restaurant right on site. Can walk into the lake from your room. Setting is insanely beautiful. Staff friendly. Not sure what all the negativity is about this was good. Money is what it is - a Motel in this area is $200-300 in high season. Deducting one star because the website claims there is Wi fi but it is only in the lobby of the main building no service or WiFi in rooms.

We rented a two bedroom cabin with kitchenette at the Log Cabin resort on Lake Crescent in Olympic NP, specifically for the kitchen. We are traveling as a family with some dietary restrictions that can make it hard eat at a restaurant. We bought groceries in Port Angeles. When we arrived at the cabin, there were NO pots, pans, utensils or plates. The cabinets were empty. There was a microwave, dorm-size fridge with mini freezer, a coffee maker and 4 k-cups, a few paper cups, and an induction cooktop. At the front desk, I was told it would be $50 to rent cookware. Not a deposit that you get back, but a $50 additional fee. The desk staff was apologetic and said so many people had complained that they stopped advertising the kitchenette (though it was advertised as such when we booked). We ended up eating in the restaurant and had to leave most of our groceries there in the fridge as we are traveling from a distance. Very disappointed that the advertised amenities were not actually available. We would have booked different accommodations if we knew we couldn’t cook there. The college-age desk staff were put in an awkward position having to explain this. It was not their fault! I heard some unpleasant words from other angry guests directed at them. Shame on the management for advertising amenities that are not available and then leaving these young women to take the brunt of it. The cabin itself was otherwise fine. Clean and updated, if spartan. Just 2 bedrooms with queen bed and one lamp and small nightstand, a table and 4 chairs, a small pull-out loveseat. Extra bedding for the sofa bed was provided. Internet is available in the main lodge where there’s also a restaurant and gift shop. Lots of kitchen cabinets in the kitchenette, all empty, which could be used for clothes storage I guess since there was just a small shelf and 4 hooks in each bedroom. Bathroom was fine, had 4 clean towels, and the shower had dispensers of shampoo, conditioner, body wash. There is a picnic table outside each cabin and a small concrete covered porch with bench that was nice to sit at and watch the lake. Nice views of the lake and mountains since the cabins are set higher than the rest of the lodge. The restaurant food was decent (and pricey for the size of the servings) but they were packed. We were still being served after the 8 PM closing time, there was just one wait staff and she was BUSY. They were kind enough to keep the restaurant open past usual closing time until everyone was fed. This was in late June ‘26.

With all of the varying reviews, I went into this with minimal expectations. I thought I would still give it a try though. My advice? Just don’t…just don’t. We “stayed” in one of the A-frame cabins on the water. My son had to use the restroom upon arrival & opened the lid to the toilet. I kid you not there were several mice in the toilet bowl!!!!!! Many alive and a few dead! I went to change rooms & they were fully booked & they gave me someone else’s cabin who hadn’t arrived yet. I felt bad for the poor helpless & unaware souls who arrived later that afternoon. The new A-frame we were assigned was dirty with mold in the bathroom & the smell of mildew and mold was too strong. I think the carpet was original to the facility. It was dirty and I could see water damage behind some of the paneling walls. We ended up sleeping in the car, because we felt like we were choking due to the poor air quality & my son is asthmatic. Also the website advertised fire rings and none of these cabins had any. There were several upset families who were also expecting them. If you’re thinking “well I can handle it, even if it’s a little outdated”….please take my advice & save yourself! The only saving grace was the front desk person refunded my money for the second night (we were supposed to stay 2 nights), but I had to pay $275 to sleep in my car for one night. Special thanks to that front desk person!

Beautiful, incredible Lake Crescent. Definitely find a way to go. Retail shop and staff were friendly and helpful. Campground - NO. We had an internal small RV site. Neighbors electrical and water pedestal was under our picnic table. If not for the fire ban - the firepit in the site behind us would have singed our bikes on the back of the van. Although we signed a “no smoking” clause, we sat through neighbors smoking (both tobacco and MJ). This would be disappointing but might not cause me to initiate a poor review. The poor review is because we waited in line for a canoe - we were in the line and visible to the boat rental operator while he worked with a couple in front of us. He said nothing until my wife asked for a canoe while telling him I was inside paying. He said “that would be the way to do it but I’m closed”. He put up the “return at 2” sign and left. It was 11:40. We abandoned our next day reservation and left a day early.

Stayed in the campground. We would give 2 stars for the campground, one star for staff responsiveness and one star for the attempt at a campground; but 5 for the view of the lake from our campgsite, which averages out to to about 3 stars overall. We would go back if it was fixed up. Staff were responsive to our problems but the problems shouldn't have happened. First, they double-booked our site, causing embarassment for both camper parties and the management. Then the power pole was right in front of our neighbor's door and the power kept going out on us. Help arrived but all he did was tighten the outlet, not fix the problem. Then we discovered the mold all over the bathrooms, and the toilet paper rolls were the wrong size for the holders and wouldn't turn at all so they put a couple of regular rolls of toilet paper on top of the holder. Only cold water, and you have to hold the faucet on with one hand. Did I mention the mold? It was everywhere, along with gobs of hair in the shower drain. Finally, very crowded campground. Solid RV vehicles, tightly packed, and many are not level. No reservations so you have no choice. Tent sites were SO tiny. Gorgeous lake. Too bad they don't have a decent campgound.
