4 on Varneys Guest House

We stayed here in mid-November and had a wonderful time! Maon was very responsible, kind, and helpful to us before and during out stay. His help organizing airport pickup made our first day much smoother and his recommendations were much appreciated. The breakfast each morning from Abigail and Lynette also got the day started off well! Rooms were clean, the bed was great to sleep in, and we felt comfortable throughout our stay. Location-wise, we easily walked to nearby locations such as the V&A waterfront and I enjoyed a run along the Promenade in Green Point. It was also an easy pickup point to take Ubers to other locations. Overall, we highly recommend staying here for a fun and relaxing time in Cape Town!

Excellent location for visiting beautiful Cape Town, close to the Waterfront and Promenade. There's a supermarket and a great place to get takeout nearby. The ladies were very kind and helpful; they changed towels every day and even provided us with beach towels. The breakfast was very good and varied. We were a group of seven and everyone had a great time. Recommended!

We have had a lovely stay! The staff is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is really a winner and our room was spacious and comfortable. Location: very central to move around with safe, off-street parking. It is also surprisingly very quiet even though so close to the main road. Communication is smooth and Maon is always available. Thank you. We will definitely be back when in town.

Lynnet and Abby were very helpful and always smiley they where great hosts . We traveled with a child of 10 and they made him feel very special . Breakfast was a good choice and the locating was great, rooms was spacious and clean .

I stayed at 4 on Varneys for 8 nights earlier this month, went to another city in South Africa, and then returned for 3 nights here, cancelling a reservation for those 3 nights elsewhere because I liked it here so much. The guest house, staff, and location are excellent! The guest house is a beautiful Victorian building with several rooms. It has a pool near the entrance (too cold for July), provides onsite parking, and has large, clean comfortable, well-equipped rooms which include a fridge, safe, and ample storage for clothes. Free, reliable wifi is available as well. The buffet breakfast has a good variety of cold and hot foods, even for picky eaters like myself. The staff is top-notch. Maon, the owner, was friendly and helpful, even before I arrived. He assisted me to resolve reservation and transportation issues. His staff of Lynette, Helen, and Abigail were always helpful, smiling, and friendly. This guest house has a fantastic, safe location. It is walking distance to a Spar grocery store (at the corner), a multitude of restaurants and bars, the stadium, the V & A Waterfront, the beautiful Green Point Park, and the Sea Point Promenade. If you walk through Green Point Park to the lighthouse, you are very close to the Hop-on, Hop-off bus stop. I would not hesitate to return to the beautiful city of Cape Town and to this wonderful guest house again.

I stayed for 5 days with my family and it was wonderful, everything was clean and organized, good location, the staff were super attentive, and the breakfast was delicious! The owner was always concerned about our stay and gave us several tips about tours and restaurants in the city! I highly recommend it!
