Gay Saunas and Cruise Clubs in Cairns
Cairns has no traditional wet-and-dry gay sauna. It does have one men's cruise club in the CBD, Cruise Club Cairns at 30 Spence Street, which Travel Gay and misterb&b list as Cairns Cruise Lounge.
The club calls itself an adult gay lounge for men. Its website lists a bar and lounge, free lockers and wifi, private cubicles, a mirror room and slings; Travel Gay adds a maze, a video room, glory holes and showers with free towels. You go in through a discreet rear entrance shared with Laneway Adult Shop, which runs it. It's open daily from 10:00 to 22:00. We couldn't find a published entry price, so call (07) 4051 3669 first.
An older cruise club, Head Office CBD on McLeod Street, is closed. For a full sauna, the nearest options are in Brisbane, about two and a half hours away by plane.
