Beautiful room. Quite small but, comfortable. Best suited for a solo trip. Bathroom is gorgeous and the products are amazing. Can be noisy, so if you're a light sleeper, it's probably not for you.

Great food and friendly service! One of our favourite spots to pop in for a coffee or a quiet dinner together.

First time diner; however we were exceptionally impressed with the service we received. The quality of the food was outstanding and the cocktails were great too.

We had a table of 10. It was a social dinner with friends. The service was excellent. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We had cocktails upon arrival. The cocktail area is elegant. We went on a Saturday evening, and they had a singer who was amazing.

Dined here tonight. This was one of our regular choices for dining out, but definitely will not be back. Very disappointed with the small food portion compared to the price charged. We actually queried as we thought they had made a mistake and given us entree size instead of main meal. The meal was tasty but we had to come home and make a toastie. Just a very disappointing dining experience.

We had the misfortune to dine here recently. The food was uniformly overpriced and seriously underwhelming. I ordered the ‘falafel’ (which, incidentally, bore no resemblance to any falafel I have ever eaten) because it was the one vegetarian dish which suited my dietary requirements in that it promised a quinoa accompaniment rather than the white flour-based couscous in the eggplant dish and the obviously flour heavy pizza. When it arrived there was not a grain of quinoa to be seen. Instead, there were strands of an unidentified noodle lurking amidst the salad greens which made up the bulk of the meal, the effect of which simply served to highlight the meanness of the portion - 3 nuggets the size of a thumb joint for just under 30 dollars. I should also point out that there was no sign of any roasted capsicum, nor the romesco, nor the tzatziki, all clearly promised on the menu but completely disregarded in the execution. As this travesty was clearly not what I had ordered, I brought it to the attention of the servers, one of whom agreed that it was unacceptable and who offered to ‘make it right’ with some extra ‘falafel’ or a beverage. Given that the faux ‘falafel’ themselves were undercooked and cold in the centre and that I had asked only for water I declined her offer. Had the offer to ‘make things right’ been genuine, at this point I would have thought that my meal wouldn’t be charged for. This wasn’t the case and nothing was ‘made right’. Three of our party ordered pizzas. The pizza base was so thin, and so completely overcooked, that the cheese had hardened into a brittleness with the consistency of a deep-fried flatbread. If you trumpet the fact that you use a boutique cheese such as the Vannella mozzarella you need to serve it in a way that privileges the stretched-curd nature of the fresh product and not turn it into an unrecognisable hardened crust with the texture of an over-toasted taco shell. A miniature steak sandwich which would not have quelled the hunger pangs of a 5 year old was served to the largest member of our party whose groan of disappointment as it was placed before him spoke volumes for the whole experience. This was a truly putrid experience and we couldn’t wait to get out of there.

Absolutely love the coffee and vibe. Surprised by the delightful little esplanade spot, Cafe was divine. Food amazing! Will be back!

Had brunch here and was so glad I did. Staff were lovely and brought water to my table promptly, took my order for coffee whilst I read the menu. Decided on the special rosti. It was delicious and the coffee was spot on. Would definitely recommend eating here, the food coming out looked amazing. I will be back next time I'm down in Cairns from Yungaburra 😊

What an incredible stay - we only wish we could have stayed longer! The hotel is charming and intimate, exactly our style, and we loved learning about its history as a former Maltese family home. The restaurant truly exceeded expectations: breakfast was delicious, and dinner was absolutely outstanding. Every dish impressed us, but the potatoes with olive oil and sundried tomatoes were especially memorable - they tasted just like home. A big thank you to Chef John for such a wonderful Mediterranean dining experience!
