Über diesen Ort Kings Park (Beat)

Kings Park is the large bushland and botanic-garden reserve above Perth's city centre, and parts of it have long been one of the city's best-known gay beats, the Australian term for an outdoor cruising area. Activity has traditionally been on the bush paths on the north-western side near the Lovekin Drive car park, after dark. In daytime it is a busy public park with war memorials, lookouts and family picnics, so stay discreet. At night the bush paths are unlit: bring a phone torch, tell someone where you are, and leave if it feels wrong. Public sex is still an offence in Western Australia, and other park users are entitled to use the space.

This city is full of park and many of them are on lakes, and this is one of them. Joggers, strollers, and people just sitting. Green

Nice, beautiful and quite place to take a walk or ride your bike. Stunning views of the city. Plenty of places to rest and enjoy the park, even the public restrooms are in perfect conditions. All the restroom include buttons commands, light signalling and speakers that give you welcoming, simple instructions and even say good bye!

At first we were walking on grass. we were next to the National Carillon. A bit further we had a path with lots of shade, thanks to the trees. There were many wooden benches to relax and admire the Lake Burley Griffin. I like my walk here next to the lake. Worthwhile to see!

We visited this as we spotted the playground when driving past. It is situated amongst memorials to the Police and various others. It was a pleasant area near the lake and the playground looks like a quite new addition with more to be added later this year. The playground is accessed by a wide wheelchair accessible path from the car park and is fully fenced with the path continuing through the playground. Our kids thought it was great and discovered some new playground equipment that they hadn't seen before including a "lift" that the kids stand on and it slowly lowers them one at a time to the ground (lots of fun even for parents...yes we had a go)! There were swings, slides, climbing equipment, water play area (although as it is winter this was closed) and even a very large rocker that wheel chairs could be pushed onto to enjoy along with everyone else. There are electric toilets with it the fenced area and picnic tables too.

Canberra has plenty of parkland and open space. Kings Park is on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin. It can be accessed easily from the shared walkways and cycleways. It is a pleasant place to sit and watch the world go by. Thanks for your vote if you found this review helpful.

In Canberra, there is no shortage of lovely green public open space. This is another of those parks. There is nothing particular to note about it but it is lovely there are so many.

Lake Burley Griffin is there to be enjoyed, especially its surrounds: the parks and gardens, wild and cultivated in turn, from a bike or on foot. It's a special feature of the National Capital.

Awesome experience. Would love to attend an event. I haven’t explored everything there is to offer but I will be. I’ve just done some of the playgrounds.

Spent the afternoon here with the family and honestly you never get tired of those views. Plenty of room for a walk, beautiful gardens and lots of nice spots to just sit down and relax. The kids enjoyed themselves and we ended up staying much longer than planned. One of those Perth places that’s always worth visiting.

Absolutely love love this park! Everything it has to offer. In the middle of the city and when you are in the middle of the park you would think you were in the bush somewhere!

Kings Park is one of the Jewels of Perth and we go there regularly. We often have a picnic at the saw Avenue Picnic Area and then go on for a walk from the forest car park along the Lotterywest Federation walkway. The views are fantastic and the vegetation beautiful and interesting. The return walk past lakes up to the pioneer woman's fountain his lovely with a chain of small Ponds with streams running between them. Overall a fantastic place to visit
