&And Hostel Hommachi East

I had a bad feeling when they gave me earplugs at the reception, but I was irritated to hear someone (probably a foreign guest) talking in the common area all night long. Apparently the staff leaves at 11pm. Check-in is late at 4pm and check-out is early at 10am. The receptionist was young but polite, which was good. However, that's the only good thing about it. The room was dirty and dilapidated, the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I'm very puzzled as to why it has such a good rating. The mattress on the bed was just laid directly on the floor, which was incredibly shoddy. Staying at a manga cafe or capsule hotel might be slightly better because it's quieter.

I wasn't able to take photos of the room, but it was very comfortable and nice. Depending on the floor, there are rooms that include both a toilet and a shower, rooms that include only a shower, and rooms that do not include either and must be used as shared facilities outside the room. I stayed on the 6th floor, which was a shared facility; the shower was for one person and the toilet was for two, so I didn't experience any inconvenience using them. If you want a room that includes both, please check the floor number! There are instructions available in Korean, and all the staff are friendly! You can take toothbrushes, earplugs, and paper cups from the front desk, and they provide one face towel and one large body towel per person. It was great that there was a Family Mart and an Aeon within a 3-minute walk!

I chose this hostel because I wanted to keep accommodation costs down. First, the receptionist greeted me with a smile and a calm demeanor, which I appreciated. I was also impressed by their fluent English and polite service to international guests. The room was much cleaner than I expected. Even areas prone to dust and grime were spotless. The shared shower room was also meticulously cleaned, free of water stains and mold. Overall, it was very comfortable. Personally, I was thrilled with how comfortable the bed was. One minor issue was the website's wording. It stated that towels were available for rent for 300 yen. However, upon arrival, I was told they provided two towels free of charge. Perhaps I overlooked something, but it would be helpful if they indicated something like, "Additional towels are available for rent for a fee." However, I was able to stay comfortably at a low price, which was great! Thank you!

A personal room for a very affordable price. I wish I had known about the additional fees for late check in, but that was my own fault for not verifying first.

This is a great place to stay! It was a great central location. Even though it’s not super close to anything, it’s kind of in the middle of anything you would want to do. The facilities were all clean and they have great service. They kept our luggage for us until 10pm on the day we checked out (luggage storage is from 8am to 11pm). Although there are some highways right nearby, we did not have any issue with noise. A great place!

Oh my goodness, this place was amazing! The staff were super kind and friendly, letting me not only check in early but also upgraded my room! The views from my room and the skylounge were beautiful! Loved my stay at &And Hostel Hommachi East, I hope to stay here again in the future!

I had some business near Osaka Castle, so I booked this hotel. The front desk staff were friendly and spoke English, and some even spoke Korean. They were very helpful when I had questions about moving rooms, and they even stored and retrieved lost items.

Super nice and helpful staff, stayed here for the Osaka marathon and they gave us hand warmers before the run and warm welcome and congratulations and a cute card after the run. Room is wooden floor for the double room which I liked. Although, it is in the middle of two stations, 6-8 minutes walk from either, and can’t check in after 11pm.

Perfect place to stay if you're visiting Osaka for sightseeing. It's walking distance from Osaka Castle as well as transportation options. I stayed in a private room with a private bathroom (complimentary upgrade!) and everything was clean and comfortable. There is also a well-equipped kitchen and laundry machines available. The staff were very friendly and happy to give recommendations for things to do in the city. I highly recommend staying here!
