Salzburg Pride 2026 is the annual LGBTQ+ Pride march and festival in one of Austria's most beautiful cities — held in July against the backdrop of the Baroque Altstadt, the Hohensalzburg fortress, and the surrounding Alpine landscape. The event takes advantage of the Salzburg Festival season, when the city's international visitor population is at its peak, creating a cosmopolitan and celebratory atmosphere that supplements the strong local community presence. The pride march through the city centre uses Salzburg's UNESCO World Heritage Old Town as its setting — a combination available nowhere else in the world. Following Austria's marriage equality since 2019, Salzburg Pride carries a celebratory dimension alongside its continued advocacy character. Accommodation should be booked well in advance: July in Salzburg is Festival season and the city is consistently sold out.
