Hotel Bourgoensch Hof

Had a two night stay in this lovely hotel with a top floor room overlooking the canal. Beautiful spot, very central. Big comfortable bed. Room very large with separate bathroom and toilet. Note some rooms don't have lift access because of the building's age but the view is worth the climb! Outside terrace at street level with great service from the waffles bar. Buffet breakfast. Very friendly helpful staff. I would visit again.

I had a very pleasant stay overall. The location is excellent, and the rooms are newly renovated, spacious, and very clean. The only downside was the breakfast experience. I had already taken a small croissant, touched it, but decided to take the rest with me as I was leaving something I have done in other hotels without any issue. However, one of the staff members reacted quite rudely. She spoke to me for several minutes in a raised voice, insisting that I leave the croissant on the table and even suggesting it would be thrown away otherwise. This happened in front of other guests and left me feeling quite embarrassed. Aside from this incident, everything else was smooth, and I hope that in the future there can be more care in how situations like this are handled, especially in terms of tone and communication

Rooms were comfortable enough although shabby and on the small side. Hotel going through major refurbishment which we were not warned about. Some noise disturbance.

Incredible location for you to navigate your way around the village. Large comfy rooms and an oversized bathroom. 5 stars!

The hotel is right in the city center.. The view was the best!! Excellent location for someone to move around without means. The room was as I had requested with a view of the canal. Clean and relatively large. Quiet without noise. I had not chosen breakfast because there were many options around the hotel. Everything was very close. The only thing I would say minus was that the toilet in the room they had given me was of course always in the same place but not together with the shower in general. But overall I was completely satisfied. I highly recommend it.
