Maison Arc-en-Ciel de Charleroi

The Maison Arc-en-Ciel de Charleroi (MAC) is the city's LGBTQ+ community centre and the reference point for queer life across the Charleroi region. Part of the Arc-en-Ciel Wallonie federation, it grew out of a partnership between the associations Tels Quels and Les CHEFF and offers a welcome desk (permanence), individual psychosocial support, health services and a full calendar of workshops and social groups around sexual orientation and gender identity. Based in the Ville-Basse city centre on Rue Prunieau, the MAC also co-organises Charleroi's Pride, Les Fiertés Carolos, together with the city's equality office. It is the best first stop for visitors who want to connect with the local community or find up-to-date information on events and support services.
