Zimmer Hotel

A very small room (about 20 cm between the bed and the wall) made it feel claustrophobic. The stairs were very steep, narrow, and dangerous. The curtains were torn, and the drapes were hanging by only a few hooks. The duvet was worn (the down had clumped together and formed lumps about 10 cm thick). The room wasn't preheated upon arrival. The fire extinguisher had a sticker: "rejected" (!) There was no emergency exit, so in the event of a fire, you'd be trapped like rats. The heating was noisy. The kettle was dirty and hadn't been cleaned after coffee (?) had been made in it. The walls had dirty streaks and coffee stains. We opted for a four-star hotel, but this one really didn't meet normal standards. However, there were also some positive notes: very friendly staff, a good breakfast, and all the necessary hygiene products.

Hotel Zimmerhof in Lier feels like discovering a quiet, charming corner of the city you didn’t know you were missing. The rooms are comfortable and unpretentious, but what really makes it memorable is the cozy sitting area — a warm nook with inviting sofas, soft lighting, and a calm atmosphere that makes you want to linger with a coffee or a book.

Great location. Staff very friendly, one recommended me Nethe & Drinke for an evening meal and it did not disappoint. The room was great, I was on the top floor in the middle of the courtyard and kinda felt like I had my own mini apartment. The breakfast was buffet continental style and was SO good.

I liked this hotel, very charming. The bed is a delight. And the breakfast has quite a variety. The staff is very friendly. The only downside is that there's no parking or parking next to the hotel. It's best to leave your car in the Grote Markt parking lot, which is where Google Maps directs you. It's very close.

Excellent from the word go. It is an old property but they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Tim at the reception is a great brand ambassador for Zimmerof. The breakfast and room cleaning were good.
