Ostravský PRAJD (Ostrava Pride)

Ostravský PRAJD is Ostrava's Pride march, organised by the volunteer association Ostravský PRIDE. The first one, on 17 August 2019, walked from Masarykovo náměstí to Komenského sady with a few hundred people. After three August editions it moved to July in 2022; the 2024 march was on 13 July and the 2025 march, the seventh, on Saturday 12 July with about 250 marchers, starting at the Komenský bust in Komenského sady behind the New Town Hall.

It's a small, political march rather than a big party. Separately, Ostravský měsíc hrdosti (Pride Month) runs events from late May through June. Dates for the next PRAJD had not been confirmed when we checked in October 2026; watch @ostravsky.prajd.
