Omena Hotel Jyväskylä

The thermostat was broken (couldn't turn to heat), the electric kettle was broken. Further they messed up on breakfast, charging me for a day the restaurant was closed, and not putting me on their list another day (thankfully the restaurant customer service was great and gave me breakfast after I showed them my Omena receipt). Also when I tried to extend my stay online, their computer failed. So I had to call from the courtesy phone, and the new price was over 100€ more than the online price!

Well equipped room. Good beds. Unfortunately the air conditioning didn't work and that was a big minus for me. I still managed somehow but in the summer heat it would have been really uncomfortable. Air-conditioned rooms were still advertised so it was disappointing that I still had to sweat at night. Otherwise it would have been a perfect package for the price.

The rooms were clean, the beds were good. Quiet, no extra noises. I recommend.

A really good hotel in a great location and there was nothing wrong with the room! Good value for money

The room was clean and surprisingly big, the bathroom was small but it did the job. I happened to see the cleaner and we asked them for extra pillows which we got. The room had a kettle, small fridge, microwave and a table and a few chairs, it was easy to take care of breakfasts in the room yourself.

I actually came from Oulu to Jyväskylä by train yesterday. The location is a bit remote and difficult to find the first time, but it is still well secured with gates and code locks. However, the location is excellently located in the center of Jyväskylä, a few hundred meters from the train station. I was able to get my room through the service before I actually checked in, which is a big plus. The room was pretty basic for my taste but clean — it also had a really clean toilet and a working shower. Things got really bad at night: from midnight until the early hours of the morning, there was noise in the corridors and in the next room, probably from drunk men, swearing and blaring music. The rules of conduct stated that such customers are responsible for the noise they cause, so I decided to call ASPA on my own smartphone instead of the possible lobby phone (I didn't feel the corridor was safe during that situation). This way, it was a bit difficult to call and there was no answer, even if it was a 24/7 service. So in the future, I demand that in such problem situations there should be easy access to fast customer service and that someone from the staff check the hotel's surroundings; especially since children and elderly people may be staying in these hotel rooms. Otherwise, the beds were easy to separate for my roommate and the quality was suitable. If you want a room in the center of Jyväskylä that is suitable for the price, I recommend it, but maybe not for the time between Friday and Saturday.

Never again. Shockingly cold rooms, I changed rooms if only one had a working heating system, it didn't. Had to look for another hotel.

The room was like a refrigerator. When we arrived, a lady complained that the same problem had occurred in other rooms. The location is good, you can park your car in the parking garage next door.
