Erbacher Hof Tagungszentrum und Gästehaus des Bistums Mainz

We stayed here for one night and will definitely stay here again when we're in Mainz. The underground parking garage for the hotel is absolutely fantastic for €12 per night. The location is excellent, the staff is incredibly friendly, and I've rarely found such comfortable pillows in a hotel (even in higher-end categories). The mattresses are also very comfortable. The breakfast is perfectly adequate. We had a room with a view of the cathedral... unbeatable! There was even a fan in the room. Only one thing, which isn't really a criticism, was that something was missing on the walls in the room... Mainz has so many great photo opportunities. Adding some would really enhance the room. Thank you!

Unfortunately, the room couldn't be darkened and it was incredibly warm. In spring! I think that's a general problem in the attic. Since it was very quiet, I was able to leave the balcony door open. However, the balcony is shared with other apartments, so that's certainly not a solution for everyone.

The rooms lack a refrigerator, air conditioning, and an iron and ironing board.

If you want to visit Mainz, this hotel is simply ideal. The welcome was warm. We weren't supposed to be able to check in until 3:00 PM, but we were able to check in an hour earlier. My wife and I had a large double room with a terrace. In summary: Ideal location, friendly staff, lovely bright room. The breakfast was excellent. Our concern that it was a conference hotel was unfounded. So, nothing to complain about. We were especially pleased that there was also a garage. We'll definitely be back next time.

The design is a bit dated, but super clean.

Centrally located in the old town near the cathedral. Certainly not a "romantic hotel," but rather functionally furnished, primarily for conferences and educational events of the diocese. The helpfulness and friendliness of the staff, however, brought a welcome warmth to the place, making us feel extremely comfortable. Excellent breakfast and a perfect location!

A very well-located hotel. We received a very warm welcome. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and attentive. We had a large room with a balcony and a view of the cathedral. The bathroom was very spacious and had a walk-in shower. The breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared. There was a wide selection of bread, rolls, croissants, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, fruit salad, crepes, and much more.
