A great bar for anyone who enjoys board games and a cozy atmosphere. The selection of games is enormous, and you can easily spend hours there. The staff and service are top-notch. Highly recommended. I'll definitely be back.

Absolutely disastrous place. The owner was clearly drunk and acted as if he owned every woman in the room. Sexist remarks, condescending behavior, and a completely toxic, patriarchal attitude—simply embarrassing and unpleasant. Instead of a professional atmosphere, it's clearly a power trip of the lowest kind. If you want to treat women disrespectfully and feel cool doing it, maybe this is the place for you. Everyone else should spend their money elsewhere. Instead of a relaxing evening, we felt like we were being caught in a toxic power structure. Criticism or uncomfortable situations were downplayed instead of being addressed. For me and my friends, it's definitely not a place I would return to. Since I can't write a second review to respond to your lies… here's a clarification: Your response unfortunately confirms the exact problem I mentioned: Instead of addressing criticism objectively, you're making assumptions and fabricating a completely exaggerated story. No glasses were broken. My friend simply dropped a card. The fact that this is now being blown out of proportion, with claims of "multiple instances of damaged inventory," "broken glass," and a major drama, is simply untrue. This very distortion of the facts is precisely why your response to many of us comes across more as gaslighting than a professional business reaction. It's also particularly disconcerting how much you're fixating on terms like "toxic men" or "patriarchy" instead of simply sticking to the facts. No one would have even brought this up if your tone and reaction hadn't been so condescending and unpleasant. The fact that you're now publicly portraying my criticism as "ideological exaggeration" while simultaneously spreading a fabricated story about destroyed inventory and supposedly escalating behavior unfortunately reflects more on you than on me. Criticism can be accepted professionally or met with a personal and derogatory response; you've clearly chosen the latter. It's also possible to accept criticism professionally or react to it with personal attacks and disparagement. (I was the friend who was there as a witness, so you shot yourselves in the foot…) & the mere fact that you used GBT for your text chat already shows how lost you are…🫩

This place is absolutely fantastic! My friends and I spent hours there having a great time. The service was incredibly friendly, and the owner explained the games to us when we wanted to try some new ones. I highly recommend this bar! It's perfect for evenings out with friends and a relaxed get-together. It's also wonderful that everyone is welcome, regardless of gender or age! ☺️

Now, here is my experience at her bar. It can't be that this bar is such a reflection of patriarchal structures. I was there on May 10th, and the owner, who was clearly drunk, tried to gaslight me, claiming I was the reason the evening was ruined. I had dropped a single card from a game. I then put the entire board game on the table to put the card back and rearrange everything so that no more cards would fall out. Instead of a thank you, the drunk owner accused me of constantly throwing glasses and games around, of ruining the evening, of making a scene, and finally, without any mention of the topic on my part, he said that his anger towards me had nothing to do with me being a woman. This comment alone discredits your pseudo-feminism, just as your response to a previous review does. Someone below shared their experience with sexist comments from you, and your argument to refute this was that both owners are gay. Misogyny has no gender. If you were truly as woke as you claim, you would know, firstly, that misogyny is largely perpetrated by cis men regardless of their sexuality, and secondly, that gaslighting is also a form of emotional abuse—which, by the way, constitutes patriarchal violence. This bar perfectly illustrates internalized misogyny in everyday life, and this was all a fever dream.

A really nice bar that does something different from all the others. We were there for a weekend and the owner played games with us until morning. Great job! See you again!

The service was very friendly, and the concept is really nice, but unfortunately, I should have listened to the warnings about the drunk owner. He made sexist and disrespectful comments to several female guests, including myself. I will avoid the bar in the future and warn all the girls because he behaves very disgustingly towards young women and often, when drunk, hits on much younger women or makes sexist jokes or remarks (which are also posted on the wall). Unfortunately, the owner ruins the good concept, and it would be more worthwhile to grab all the board games they have and go to a different bar!

I've been to Bernstein several times now and I think the concept is really cool. The value for money on the food and drinks is quite rare in the city center, and I find it very fair, especially if you stay at a table for several hours. I'm deducting one star because the door to the smoking area is always open, so the smell permeates the bar and gets into jackets and clothes. Unfortunately, this has always been the case for me and my friends, and after two or three hours, the air becomes unpleasant. It would be nice if there were a way to close the door or at least open the windows occasionally on cold days. I've heard that the glass front is opened in the summer, so you could just say you should only come on warm days.

I used to enjoy going to this bar and had recommended it to others. However, after my last visit, that changed. There were four of us. Three people in our group ordered drinks, and I only ordered food. After my friends had received their drinks, the staff asked me why I hadn't ordered anything to drink. I explained that I didn't want a drink but had already ordered food. I was then informed that food could only be ordered in combination with a drink. At first, I thought it was a joke, but it was later confirmed that this was indeed a strict rule. Since I didn't want to order a drink, my food order was canceled. If my friends had decided to keep their food, I would have been sitting alone at the table without having ordered anything while the others ate. I then quietly discussed this with my friends because I found the situation uncomfortable. During this conversation, the owner intervened from a distance and shouted comments in our direction, even though I was only talking to my friends. I also found that unpleasant. The whole situation was very strange for me, as I was prepared to pay for the food. I can understand that a restaurant needs to operate profitably. However, I personally find it difficult to comprehend why ordering food without an additional drink should be impossible. For this reason, I will not be visiting the bar again in the future, nor will I recommend it to others.
