Ariston Hotel Rome

During my vacation in Rome, I was looking for a well-located 4-star hotel, close to the city center, but also reasonably priced given our itinerary. I chose this hotel primarily for its proximity to Termini Station, the arrival point for the airport shuttles. And on that point, the location is truly convenient: we were at the hotel in just 3 minutes on foot. Overall, we received a warm welcome from the staff, which was much appreciated. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom. A minor aesthetic drawback was the decor (particularly the orange color of the bathroom, which clearly won't be to everyone's taste), but that's subjective. The main negative point concerns the soundproofing. While the hotel is advertised as soundproof on Booking.com, this was unfortunately not the case: we could clearly hear toilets flushing, showers in neighboring rooms, and people walking in the hallway. The soundproofing is therefore quite limited. Another point to note: we had booked an "economy double room" with a double bed, but it was actually two single beds pushed together. This isn't ideal for a couple. I should also mention that, even though the hotel is close to the train station, the neighborhood is very dirty. It's a big city, of course, but the amount of litter in the streets was truly striking, which is regrettable (and consistent with some other reviews already posted on Google). On the plus side, the breakfast is a real bonus: there's a good selection and the products offered are generally good. In conclusion, the hotel served its purpose for a stay where we spent most of our time sightseeing in Rome. However, I think it's possible to find more pleasant 4-star hotels if you book far enough in advance.

It is full of dust and mold, very old, we entered the room began to sneeze and cough. We left the rooms immediately and wanted a refund. But they are still thinking about it since they say, they believe they served the room to us, so their responsibility ends there. What about the responsibility of serving a clean room that we can sleep at least? We had two rooms for three nights. This is not our "high standarts" every person staying at hotel was coming with a different problem to the lobby. When we want a two seperate beds for one of the rooms, the cute poor boy who carries the luggages is said to divide the beds in to two, by the receptionist. There is not a professional cleaning personnel it seems. This is why this hotel is such dirty. They know the truth but the receptionist man has a bullying behaviour that putting our problem solving que behind every new comer's check in process. If i could give zero stars, i would. I will appy to consumer authorities if they dont make a full refund. I guess they have two types of rooms some are renovated for local audits but most of them are not. Shame on quality for such a beautiful city.

The hotel is very good overall, and the staff is always available whenever we needed anything; they were very friendly. We stayed in the Deluxe room, and the bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean and modern. However, avoid rooms facing the street. We were moved because there was a lot of street noise, even at night, in addition to poor soundproofing. Also be aware that some rooms have air conditioning, but they only turn it on from June onwards, even if it's mentioned in the description. Only the Deluxe rooms have air conditioning year-round. Breakfast wasn't great in terms of croissants, etc... very dry and not fresh. There's a restaurant right across the street that serves breakfast. There are restaurants all over this area, but beware of tourist traps. The most annoying thing is that it's not a very safe neighborhood. I'm highlighting all these points because they seem important to me considering the hotel's price. The bus stop is very close, making it easy to reach historical sites quickly. However, the hotel itself would have many more advantages if it were located elsewhere.

Close to the train station, but the rooms left much to be desired. Enough room for the beds and the shower is tiny. I'm 5'1 and could barely turn around in it.

Nice clean room and the staff are nice. It’s a good to stay at for four nights. The location is great as it is like 20 to 30 minutes walk to attractions and an hour walk to Vatican City. There is a bar however it is limited to what you can order as they don’t have lots of options to choose from. We ended up asking for recommendations. There is breakfast, it’s a little buffet where you get to pick from a variety of things. A little inside information for anyone wanting to book there, there is a city tax (not a big deal for me but for some people it will be) of 7 euro each night you stay there. There will be noise so be aware of that, it is near a metro and restaurants/bars. Overall, very happy with this establishment.

A very good hotel. Comfy spacious rooms, friendly staff and a good, tasty breakfast. Also well located near the main station.

Smart TV, so great! - Very generous and magnificent breakfasts. A top-notch, efficient team that provides excellent customer service from start to finish. - A very friendly bar staff. - A fantastic location: close to restaurants, the train station, buses, tourist buses, and the city center. Everything is within walking distance. In short, a perfect hotel, except for the view!
