Passing through Trieste for a day, we stumbled upon this restaurant quite by chance, and it was a wonderful surprise. There's no wine list; you simply chat with the owner and follow his recommendations (he's a true wine enthusiast). The food is absolutely excellent. If we ever return to Trieste, we'll definitely go back!

The owner and staff are friendly and go out of their way to take care of guests. For a wine bar, the food selection is extensive; we really enjoyed our meal, it’s a perfect combination of high-quality ingredients and a chef who knows exactly what he’s doing; and we found the portion sizes to be more than sufficient. When it came to wine accompanying our meal, we relied entirely on the recommendations, which were spot-on every time. This enoteca is highly recommended for any wine lover who also enjoys traditional, high-quality cuisine; given the quality and selection on offer, you get excellent value for your money.
