MAINSTATION HOSTEL Gdańsk

For this money the conditions are very good.

This is a hostel, not a hotel, and the standard is okay for a hostel. The location is top-notch. The entrance is in the train station buildings, located on platform 5, about 50 meters from the main station building. The accommodation doesn't have a reception. You'll receive email and text messages with codes for entry and key boxes. There are 9 rooms, 2 bathrooms, one of which even has a hairdryer. The water in the shower is really warm; a hot shower really put me back on my feet after a long day outdoors. There's a kitchenette in the common area, a refrigerator, a microwave, a kettle, and a water dispenser. There's also coffee, tea, and sugar, which isn't standard in hostels. The rooms are equipped with mugs and earplugs. The hostel is located near the tracks and a busy road, but the noise isn't excessive; it was possible to sleep without earplugs. The rooms are small, with a bunk bed, a table, two chairs, and a mobile cupboard. The room was warm (outside temperature: 3 degrees Celsius). The electrical outlets are very worn out; they could use a replacement because the charger wasn't working. The building's stairwell is from a bygone era, and the hostel itself is modern, but rather budget-friendly. Clean. You leave your key at the door upon check-out. There's Wi-Fi, but I haven't used it, so I don't know how it works. Perfect for someone with an overnight train or a long layover, so they can get a good night's sleep and move on without stress.

The only good thing is the location. The room is really uncomfortable

Good place to sleep over. Room was clean, bed was good. There was coffee, tea in the room, there was also a tea maker and microwave in the hall. Check-in and check-out were easy.

It's a budget hostel located at the train station; it's a bit noisy, but they provide earplugs. Very convenient for those with a bus/plane transfer. It's a good place to rest for a night before continuing your journey. The airport bus departs from the same location.

The photos do not correspond to reality, everything is much worse (The room is stuffy and dirty, the sewage can be heard in the room..( The only thing that cheered up was this sign in the toilet 😅
