They usually work with reservations but we could get a walk in kn a thursday early evening. Everything was so good, they have the formula figured out, the dishes always leave you wanting to try something else!!! The spicy sauce of the chorizo is one of the best sauces I have ever try, if you like hot food don't hesitate to order it with the baos and the tacos apart from the chorizo.

I love the fact that we came hungry to this restaurant and left with a stomach full with yummy tapas and even traditional Portuguese liquor (strong but so sweet) on the house~ just wow

We were very hungry for tapas and found this cute gem in the middle of the city. They don’t have much on the menu but they do care for their food because it tasted so good. The waiter was very sweet and we even got a shot of their famous Portuguese liquor too. Would love to eat here again~

Had a great experience at Bairro do Avillez. The atmosphere was beautiful and welcoming, and the seafood was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The service was also excellent and made the evening very enjoyable. The only downside was that some of the other food dishes didn’t quite live up to the seafood. They were good, but not as memorable. Overall, it was still a wonderful dining experience, and I would definitely recommend it, especially for seafood lovers.

Honestly, this place feels way too touristy. The “tapas mix” was almost funny: it tasted like a selection of things you could easily find at a supermarket, just served on small plates. The price is already high for what you get, and if you add a drink, the bill climbs quickly — which would be fine if the drinks were good, but they really weren’t. Not the worst place in the world, but definitely not worth the money.
