Über diesen Ort Fundación Triángulo

Fundación Triángulo was founded in Madrid in December 1996 as Spain's first LGBTQ+ human rights foundation with a specific international scope. Its work spans Spanish domestic policy — including the drafting of the 2007 trans-rights law — and Spanish-language-world international cooperation in Latin America and lusophone Africa. It has operated continuously for 29 years. The foundation's cultural anchor is LesGaiCineMad — Spain's largest LGBTQ+ film festival, running annually since 1996. The two-week festival in early November draws around 15,000 attendees to screenings at Cines Palacio de la Prensa, Cine Doré (the Filmoteca Española) and other central Madrid venues; the Panorama section is one of the largest annual selections of new LGBTQ+ cinema anywhere in the world. Beyond LesGaiCineMad, Fundación Triángulo runs Spain's largest LGBTQ+ international-cooperation programme, working with local LGBTQ+ organisations in Latin American countries with restrictive legal environments (particularly Honduras, El Salvador, Colombia) and in lusophone Africa (Mozambique, Angola). The foundation also runs the Familias LGBT programme, coordinating legal-and-social support for LGBTQ+ families in Spain. Since 2004 the foundation has occupied offices at Meléndez Valdés 52 in the Chamberí district. Reception open Monday-Thursday 09:00-14:00 and 17:00-19:00. Argüelles metro is five minutes' walk. This is one of the two Madrid LGBTQ+ heritage sites outside the immediate Chueca district — worth the detour for the international-cooperation history that's specific to Madrid rather than Barcelona.

I'm from Colombia, and I've been living in Madrid, Spain for a year and a half. I spend a lot of time at home and at work, and I'm not sure how things work here when it comes to making friends from my own background. I'd like to clear up a lot of personal things, and maybe you can help me here. Thank you.

I went and it was like I hadn't even been there. They didn't even attend to me. Disappointed doesn't even begin to cover it...
