Platja del Mago (El Mago) — gay/nudist beach

Platja del Mago (El Mago) is a small, officially nudist cove at Portals Vells, about a 20-minute drive west of Palma near Calvia. Reached by a short walk through pine woods from the car park, it is a long-standing favourite with gay and naturist visitors, who tend to gather on the rocky stretch to the right of the beach; the surrounding pines and paths see discreet cruising. The setting is unspoilt, with clear water, low cliffs and no big resort development, though there is little shade and few facilities, so bring water and supplies. It pairs well with the larger Es Trenc for a beach day away from Palma's busier tourist strands. As always in a public natural area, be respectful and discreet.
