Karak

Yesterday we went to Karak for dinner, something I'd been looking forward to for a long time, and we chose the Large tasting menu with 11 courses. We also opted for the more comprehensive wine pairing to fully enjoy Rakel's new "Metamorphosis" menu, dedicated to her daughter. The restaurant's ambiance and decor are intimate, a little dark, and very welcoming. My boyfriend and I loved the menu and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was outstanding; the entire front-of-house team was incredibly attentive. 😊 Thank you, Rakel, Javi, and all the staff for making our third anniversary dinner such a special night. 😉

The fact that this place doesn't have at least one star undermines the rigor and credibility of the Michelin Guide. It's simply inexplicable. We've been to almost all the Michelin-starred or two-starred restaurants in Valencia, as well as those recommended by the guide, and when I say almost all, I mean 90%. All of this in a short period of time, about a year. In fact, Karak was one of the last places we visited because it didn't have a star and only came with a recommendation. Well, what a surprise we had! Every course was an absolute demonstration of talent and good taste. I think it's my favorite restaurant in Valencia, and that's saying something. Congratulations to the entire kitchen team for an excellent dinner, as well as to the rest of the staff who took such good care of us, making the experience truly memorable. THANK YOU SO MUCH

We ordered the 11-course tasting menu with wine pairings, and we couldn't have loved the experience more. The ambiance, the service, the quality of the food... but above all, the flavor was incredible. It has definitely become one of my favorite places. Long live intensity!

Karak is one of those places you fall in love with and never forget… ever. I don't even know how to explain it without sounding exaggerated, but every time we go, we leave with that strange feeling in our chest, that feeling of "what have we just experienced?" And the next day, we're already counting down the days until we can go back. It's, by far, the best Michelin-starred restaurant we've ever been to… and for us, one star wasn't enough a long time ago… it deserves so much more. And it all, everything, has a reason: Rakel. That woman is pure soul. She cooks from a very deep place, with a passion that you can taste, that you can feel, that gets etched into your memory. What she makes is unlike anything you've ever eaten before, truly. And once you experience it… that's it, there's no going back, I'm telling you. It's a place with character, with fire, with that intensity that captivates you. And that smoky touch… oh, that smoky touch has us completely smitten. And Javi… Javi is one of those people who make the night even better. He's a wine lover whose passion is contagious. He placed a glass in front of us that has stayed with us forever; we're still searching for it all over the city, never tiring of having it again. And the whole team… it warms our hearts to see them every time. Returning and recognizing faces, them recognizing you, being treated like family. Each one with their own special touch, their warmth, that professionalism that makes you never want to leave. Karak isn't just a place to dine. Karak is a place to experience. And it stays with you. Thank you, thank you, and a thousand times thank you. For letting us be a part of something so uniquely yours. For every night, for every dish, for every glass. You've stolen our hearts.

We went there with my sister on Friday evening. Restaurant was empty, only two tables occupied. We had nice gastronomic experience and had fun with waiter.

A Michelin-starred experience ⭐️ Yesterday we were lucky enough to enjoy a spectacular gastronomic experience. The food was excellent: each dish was perfectly explained, both in terms of flavors and how to eat it, which made the experience even more special. The place is stunning, with a super cozy and intimate atmosphere. We were also fortunate enough to be near the bar, where all the action is. We got to see Rakel, who is a true star, attentive to absolutely everything and taking care of every detail. The service was a 10 out of 10, the food was absolutely amazing, and the place was simply incredible. We want to congratulate them on this super experience, and twice over! We wish them all the best. We will definitely be back in a few months to do it all again. 👏✨

From the moment I stepped into Karak, I sensed this would be more than just a dinner. It became an experience that unfolded slowly, deliberately, and beautifully over the course of ten dishes and their accompanying wines. Each plate was crafted with evident care and quiet passion. At first glance, the presentation felt restrained, almost minimalistic. But beneath that simplicity lay a world of complexity. The flavors were layered, rich, and precise, revealing themselves in waves. Every bite carried a sense of surprise, building gradually toward something almost ecstatic. It felt less like eating and more like being guided through a carefully composed story. The wine pairing was thoughtful and intriguing. In most cases, it elevated the dishes in a seamless way, though not every pairing resonated equally for me. That said, this is deeply personal, and it was the only minor note in an otherwise exceptional experience. The service was nothing short of sublime. Every detail, from the pacing to the attentiveness, was executed flawlessly. A particularly charming touch was the use of small cards accompanying each course, illustrated with simple pictograms. They added a playful layer of clarity and enhanced the overall journey. What truly sets Karak apart is that it goes beyond food. It is a complete sensory experience. The atmosphere, the rhythm of the evening, the attention to detail, all of it comes together in a way that rekindles your love for dining itself. And then there is the music. A soft, luxurious lounge ambiance with subtle down-tempo house influences created a kind of gentle trance, allowing you to fully sink into the moment. It was perfect, and I sincerely hope they never change it. Karak not just serve a meal. It reminded me why I fell in love with restaurants in the first place!

It had been a while since I'd been. The menu has improved a lot; it's a 10/10. It never disappoints, excellent value for money.
