Yes, the food was excellent. You're getting much higher craft for your money here, especially if I were to compare this place with other restaurants in Edinburgh with higher Michelin ratings. But what made this place shine -and honestly, puts this restaurant in a category of its own- was the sheer moody intimacy of being able to watch two devoted people performing at the peak of their skill for your evening. In this beautiful space I felt engaged and comfortable even as a solo diner who did not order a wine flight pairing. You can't get that from many places in the world, truly. I hope to return yearly (if I'm that lucky) and hope the best for their continued success.

It's not often you get to spend 4 hours in a top end restaurant chatting with the chef and sommelier about your mutual love of food and wine. Brian and Glen at Eorna encourage this in an atonishingly relaxed atmosphere. Go. You'll be blown away!

For the last 3 years , we have walked past this restaurant and wondered what it was like. Daunted by the communal table and a set menu of 5 courses preceded by 3 canapes with a palate cleansing sorbet thrown in, we have passed it by. Well, that was a waste of 3 years. A friend bought us the experience and it was a wonderful present. Brian cooks beautiful food that tastes delicious. The John Dory was the stand out for me, but the bordelaise sauce was a great runner up, along with the Isle of Wight tomatoes. Good produce , cooked well and presented elegantly. Glen was a charming Maitre D and knowledgeable sommelier all rolled into one. Drank wines that we would not have gone near and enjoyed them. It isn't for nothing but something this good rarely is. We will be back!

I can’t seem to find words that do justice to my evening at Eòrna. I feel so lucky to have had this experience. It was perfect from start to finish—the space, hospitality, food, drinks, even the playlist. It’s an amazing place to celebrate, an experience I won’t forget.

Delightful and intimate dining experience and the best food we had in Scotland on our trip. The care and precision that Brian puts into dishes is at an elevated level and the limited seatings each night (10/12 max) allows him to do so. Seating is bar counter style and you get to watch the chef in action while Glen makes sure your glass is always full. Will let my photos do the talking but very highly recommended!
