The Poplars Boutique Bed & Breakfast

Amazing 2night stay! Staff couldn’t do enough for us from before we arrived to whilst we were there throughout our stay. A beautiful boutique bed and breakfast within minutes of Lincoln - private access routes to walk into Lincoln and safe parking on site for the car whilst we stayed was really appreciated. Lovely views. Bedroom well equipped and the most comfiest bed ever! Breakfast choices are vast. Housekeeping topped up refreshments we’d used and emptied bins during our stay. The systems they have in place for access to the building /rooms keep guests safe. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a fantastic stay at The Poplars B&B—especially as it was our first experience in a B&B, it really set the bar high! The staff were lovely and incredibly welcoming, and the host went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The accommodation itself is delightfully quirky, full of character, and thoughtfully equipped with absolutely everything you could need for a comfortable short break. It really felt like a home away from home. The location is certainly memorable—perched halfway up a hill, it might not be for the faint-hearted, but it’s more than worth it. It provides a great base for exploring Lincoln and the surrounding area. Breakfast was excellent, with a great selection and everything cooked to perfection. Overall, a wonderful stay and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Poplars B&B to anyone looking for something a little different with a personal touch.

Great location, run by a very helpful and friendly team. Really well positioned to explore the castle, cathedral (5-10 min walk) or town centre. The room was very comfortable, with lots of thoughtful touches. Breakfast had a wide range of choice, with high quality local ingredients. Excellent value and overall a very positive experience, we'll plan to return.

Fantastic B&B, perfect location, the best cooked breakfast I’ve ever had. Lovely attention to detail in the rooms with speciality teas and a very informative welcome book. Friendly staff, would definitely stay again. Only negative point was, that I personally didn’t find the bed comfortable, very firm and the pillows were not very soft, so I didn’t sleep well. The bedroom itself was beautifully done though.

We loved this place. Comfy , clean room. Fabulous choice of quality breakfast which is big deciding factor for me. Attentive and friendly. Great location for everyone. Parking isn't the best but that's only thing I would say. Def recommend. Lots of restaurants and pubs and cathedral nearby. Enjoy!

Lovely Rooms, Excellent choice of Breakfast (extra cost for fry up)..and Great Location for Castle and Cathedral (avoiding Steep Hill 😁) the only downside is the carpark on site (not for the faint hearted) but another option is on offer.

We have just come back from a beautiful weekend in Lincoln and a wonderful stay here! The room we stayed in was beautiful and immaculate! The service at breakfast was fantastic and the food was delicious. Excellent location into town to the shops and pubs and the castle! Whilst the b&b does have parking and it is tight, it’s important to note that the slope into the drive of the b&b is so severe that when leaving today we scratch the underside of our car (ford focus) there is an option to park elsewhere which we didn’t know until another guest this morning told us at breakfast they had been offered an alternative place to park due to their car being too low for the slope. Please bare this in mind but don’t let it discourage you as our stay was amazing…the damage to our car not so much!

Wonderful little guest house, great breakfast, comfy beds. Decor could do with a bit of a touch up here and there.
