Absolutely beautiful park, lovely walk around the grounds

I came here to this beautiful park last summer and I always enjoy the peace and quiet of the parks. The River Ribble is relaxing to look at and there are lots of squirrels and birds in the green area of the parks and they are part of nature, as are people.

The Victorians knew how to do parks. Avenham and Miller Park are next to each other, and on the bank of the River Ribble from the town centre, you can stroll down to them only takes ten minutes. Easter Monday Avenham Park is packed with people who are going to roll their Easter eggs, so take yours.

The two parks are well kept and there are plenty of seats and good open areas to walk. The disappointment is the cafe which looked ready for a good clean. Plenty of choice of light meals which were good but the tables needed cleaning as did the floor.

What a lovely place to visit! The cafe was worth visiting, the walk around the park and by the river was very good to stretch the legs and meet up with friends.

Stunning parkland only ever seen from train Glad we made effort to visit Japanese Garden beautiful and the range of trees is immense Lovely walk by river Great coffe/doughnut shop at gates too.

Absolutely lovely park!!! They have a Chinese garden, a cafe and a very powerful river! We had a lovely time exploring! It's not too busy, but also not deserted - just very relaxing. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful park... Lots of family space, cycling routes and walking trails.... Loved it. Great place for a walk.

This is a really nice park by the river and not far from the centre of Preston. It's peaceful with 2 nice playgrounds and a nice cafe

Fantastic, nice serenity

Can't believe this gem of a green space is literally a few minutes from Preston town centre. Feeling fed up of urban then take yourself down here and Avenham park next to it walk through the beautiful gardens along the river and enjoy the scenery and unwind x
