Porto Carioca Bar

I don't think it's good form to announce that the place closes at 2 AM and then not be able to order drinks at 1:30 AM. Leaving somewhere to arrive at the bar at 1 AM and only being served after twenty minutes, and not being able to order more drinks, isn't common where I come from, but I'm still understanding the local culture here. Anyway, I don't know if I'll return.

My experience, which spans about 13 or 14 YEARS! It has always been sensational, a welcoming bar. Joyce is a spectacle in herself, always wonderful, receptive, welcoming, and over time, even a friend. The staff are wonderful, the food is spectacular, maintaining the standard of Joyce's mother, whom I had the pleasure of meeting. The beer is always ice cold 😍. One of the best bars in Porto Alegre. I recommend it to everyone!

The place is simply incredible! Extremely welcoming, diverse, and with a delightful energy. Joice is a spectacle in herself: attentive, kind, and always treating everyone with a rare warmth. The "situation" occurred on an outdoor deck, on the street, on a hot and rainy day—that is, a space subject to urban factors completely outside the establishment's control. Judging the place based on that requires a considerable lack of awareness. To top it off, her table had about 10 people, with shouting and childish behavior, embarrassing those nearby. Curiously, as soon as the group left, another group sat in the exact same spot and… surprise: no cockroaches appeared. Perhaps the problem was never the place, but rather the people.

SO MANY COCKROACHES! I sat with my friends outside and we killed more than 10 cockroaches, some even climbed onto the table! Disgusting, I'm never going back.
