Hotel Casona del Colegio

A place where, upon entering, you escape the hustle and bustle of Cartagena's streets and step into a space filled with thoughtful details and pampering services. Comfortable rooms (Nespresso machine, Bluetooth surround sound system, incredibly comfortable mattress, among other amenities). Close to everything, and the food is spectacular.

Excellent food

We had a really nice stay at Hotel Casona del Colegio. The room was amazing, very comfortable, and the blackout curtains worked great which made it easy to sleep in. Despite being in a lively area, there wasn’t too much noise from the streets. The breakfast and overall food options were OK — good but not particularly memorable. One of the highlights of our stay was the room with a small private plunge pool, which was absolutely fantastic and made the experience feel extra special. The only small downside was that staff were often on their phones — quite a few times they seemed to be watching Instagram Reels or TikTok videos together before helping guests. Overall, a very nice hotel and a great place to stay.

One of the best boutique hotels in Cartagena! I booked this hotel for my wedding party, and everyone had a wonderful stay! The rooms are spacious. The staff and manager are very friendly and helpful. And the food is delicious. I highly recommend! Note that the hotel is on a busy street with great nightlife and bars open until 3:00am.

This hotel is great, amazing service. Breakfast was really nice and the location is great. We had an inward facing room which was really quiet but our parents had an outward facing room that was a bit loud with the street noise. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel.

Thinking about sleeping? Forget it. Not even with the earplugs they offer. Trucks passing by the door all night, cars honking nonstop in the early morning, sounds of people in the bars… impossible to sleep even with reinforced windows! But the worst part was breakfast. Due to a mistake by the attendant who couldn't explain, my wife was left without a bread basket… a small, simple bread basket… and in a hotel of this level, instead of the manager simply offering one, he took the trouble to spend minutes arguing with my wife… deplorable… it really was a school… a fifth-grade school! Run away! You won't sleep and you won't eat!

We stayed only one night but it was definitely the most comfy hotel of our Colombia trip.
