The owner and all the staff were incredibly friendly, giving me a sense of familiarity and closeness. The room, bed, and bathroom were all very clean and tidy. The small garden on the second floor offers a distant view of Ollantaytampo and is very chill. The location is quite close to the square but not so noisy as to be disturbed by the surroundings. In short, I would definitely stay here again if I ever returned.

Beautiful and quiet family hotel in Ollantaytambo. Spacious rooms, good beds, and a great shower. Breakfast is freshly prepared in the morning. Jorge and his family are very friendly and helpful. Beautiful view of the ruins. Within walking distance of the Plaza de Armas.

This bed and breakfast surpasses even a 3-star hotel! A charming renovation, an ultra-comfortable bed, peace and quiet while being less than 5 minutes from the main square, and a warm welcome. A delightful surprise that you should book without hesitation.

Parwa Guest House was truly cozy and charming, located in a magical little town. The host, Jorge, was incredibly helpful and welcoming. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and he provided excellent recommendations while also helping us arrange tours and transportation. The breakfast spread was amazing, the rooms were comfortable and very clean, and the views were absolutely beautiful. We had a wonderful stay and would love to return with our family to enjoy this special place again. Highly, highly recommend!

We had the most wonderful stay at Parwa Guest House in Ollantaytambo for our visit to Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, and I would absolutely stay here again no question. We had room #10 — king bed with Mountain View (Incan ruins clearly viewable!) The room was wonderful and boasted the view the online photos showed. Bathroom is modern and clean. The bed is so comfortable, and even though there is no heating in the room, we were very cozy under the heavy duvet and plenty of pillows. Bring a sleep mask if you want to sleep past daybreak as the ceiling has a skylight. The property has a beautiful garden patio and another patio upstairs facing the mountains and the ruins. Breakfast in the lovely dinette each morning consisted of a buffet of freshly-made scrambled eggs, ham and cheese, a variety of fresh fruit, granola cereal, local bread with jams and butter, coffee, a selection of teas (including coca tea and coca leaves), and orange juice. Sodas and water are available for purchase on-site as is laundry service. WiFi is available. There are a number of steps leading from the street to the guesthouse, so be mindful of the luggage you bring. Our wonderful drivers helped us get them up and down. Ollantaytambo is a charming, walkable town with plenty of great food to choose from and shopping. Train station is an easy 10-15 min walk from the guest house, and we were so thrilled with our decision to make it our hub instead of Cusco. It cuts the travel time down to Machu Picchu considerably, making for a more relaxing trip and enjoyable day. I really wished we had planned a 4th night so that we’d have an extra day to explore the ruins nearby, eat more local food, and just relax and enjoy the view. Several weeks before our arrival, I requested a recommendation from Jorge for a private tour guide of the Sacred Valley, and he connected me with Mauricio who also picked us up from Cusco airport. He was absolutely wonderful. A skillful driver on the challenging roads, he taught us so much, entertained a bunch of questions from us even when he had already answered them before, took photos, and was fun company, too. Flawless English. He took us to three sites in the Sacred Valley, including the Moras Salt Mines, telling us history along the way. He also took us to the Chincherro Textile Center where we got a demonstration of alpaca wool spinning and weaving with the opportunity to purchase authentic alpaca goods. Good thing we came here before seeing the market in Aguas Calientes! We also stopped for lunch at Mountain View in Maras where we had a 5-star lunch and got to pet and feed the alpacas and llamas roaming the property. It was such a perfect day and we didn’t even go through an official tour company. It’s so much better not sharing a guide with other people. The evening before our day at Machu Picchu, Mauricio offered to arrange for us to have a fellow guide, Jorge, waiting for us there. I knew I could hire one at the gate, but knowing one was waiting for us was great. And either Mauricio or Jorge arranged for David to meet us at the train station and help us procure our bus tickets. We could have managed on our own but we got done in 5 minutes with David’s help what would have taken us 20 minutes easily to figure out. I never could have imagined how much our simple decision to stay at Parwa would have such a huge positive impact on our trip!

What an absolutely lovely and charming place. We stayed at the Parwa house with our kids and another group of friends and their child. Jorge and Mauricio helped ensure our entire stay was comfortable, and made us feel super welcomed. The day we needed early breakfast to catch our train they helped accommodate our needs. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. This was easily our most enjoyable stay at a B&B, and of all the places we stayed during our Peru trip this was easily our favorite even surpassing the 5 star hotels we stay at in Lima because of its charm and hospitality (no slight on the 5 star hotels). My wife and I have already said how we plan to come back to Parwa whenever awe make a return trip with our kids when they are a little older to try more adventurous activities.
