Witty's Lagoon Beach

Witty's Lagoon is a regional-park beach in Metchosin, about 12 km southwest of downtown Victoria, and the closest thing the area has to a gay and clothing-optional beach. Reached by a scenic walk down through forest to the sand, its more secluded stretches have long been quietly popular with gay and nude sunbathers during the summer months. Clothing-optional use here is tolerated rather than officially sanctioned, and the crowd is small and low-key. Visitors should respect other beach-goers, pack out everything they bring, and note that facilities are limited. As with any outdoor spot, use common sense and be mindful of local rules.
