A relaxing, welcoming, and warm stop on our Quebec road trip. The quality and care provided were exceptional, from the surprise homemade breakfast to the much-needed laundry service during our road trip. The garden is beautiful and peaceful. Thank you for the fabulous feather pillows (the bedding was perfect), your advice on how to fill a day of heavy thunderstorms, and your genuine smile.

We had a wonderful time at Domaine St Charles. The room was clean and well-equipped (fridge, fan, table, television). The place is quiet and relaxing. The garden is available for guests to use, with the utmost respect for the beautiful surroundings. The family's kindness was much appreciated, and they offered plenty of helpful advice and suggested activities. The breakfast was varied. We truly had a lovely stay.

A beautiful chalet with a private entrance and three bedrooms. There's also a lovely landscaped garden with a table and chairs for relaxing by a small pond. The place is very clean and tastefully decorated. The owner, Laurent, is very friendly. I highly recommend this place!

We just had a wonderful stay in this magnificent place. We were treated like royalty, with a generous and delicious breakfast served on the terrace overlooking the stunning garden. The room and bathroom were spacious, lovely, and very clean. The hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive. Excellent value for money. The location is perfect for visiting either Quebec City or the beautiful Jacques-Cartier Park, as the guesthouse is halfway between the two. The setting is natural and very peaceful. We will gladly return.

I am so glad we found this gem. The rooms were super clean and cozy. The bed and bathtub were luxurious. Breakfast was delicious. Hosts were kind and very helpful with excellent recommendations and maps of the area. I recommend booking this place with confidence! You will not be disappointed! It's a little corner of paradise. It's quiet, romantic, and a much better value than the nearby Doubletree. There is no comparison!

The enthusiasm of one of the owners of this chalet-style cottage (European "Swiss") and the fact that it's located away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Quebec City are in themselves 5 stars ⭐! 😊 And the setting—terrace/gardens 🌸/lake (stream)/woods 🌳🌲 where you can also see and hear frogs 🐸, ducks, birds 🐦, and deer—is sublime and very peaceful! 😍 You can't swim in the lake (stream), but I still dipped my toes in the water! The bedroom 🛏 might not be my style, but everyone in my family slept well 😴, and having a private entrance was great! A clock radio (with a dial) would have been handy! And we never really figured out how the TV worked, except for the very few channels we managed to find. 🤔 It's true that when traveling, it matters more or less! The bathroom 🛁 was basic, but we had more towels than in some other places, and a bath mat to prevent slipping in the tub was useful! The only downside was the heater, which didn't work very well! As for the breakfasts, which are served either on the balcony or in the room, they are very good 😋, perhaps not always suited to a more traditional clientele! Morning no. 1: Two eggs 🍳 with ham and cottage cheese 🧀 on English muffins with salad and tomatoes 🍅, with a small bowl of watermelon 🍉! Morning no. 2: A croissant and a homemade crepe with homemade jam and maple syrup, as well as a bowl of apples 🍎 and a yogurt! Breakfast #3: A French toast-style multigrain sandwich with cream cheese 🧀 and ham, salad, and tomatoes 🍅, along with a small bowl of bananas 🍌! Orange juice 🍊 and coffee ☕ or tea 🍵 were included! In my opinion and that of my family, this is a very nice and relaxing bed and breakfast in the Quebec City area! 😊

By far, Domaine du Lac Saint-Charles was our best accommodation of our trip to Quebec! The location and setting are ideal, especially the charming garden (even in the fall and in the rain 😉). The accommodation is spacious and has everything you need. The breakfasts are hearty and delicious, perfect for starting the day!
