Beach access in 5 minutes. It's best to book directly with them to get the best price with no extra charges; the areas are clean and well-maintained. The rooms are decent, and you're assigned a personal locker. They announce you can fun with others, but I found nothing at all and no motivation for guests to socialize. The most notable thing was that one of the receptionists, without saying who, He came into my room and something happened fast. Another day, I saw him invite a guy into an empty room for the same reason. They offer a discount at the sauna, which is a 10 minute walk away.

Great location, very friendly staff, especially the blond guy with light brown hair. I would only suggest improving the service from the guy on the night shift who was there on February 19, 2026. Everyone else was very nice.

Honestly, I didn't like the place... I expected more. I think you can find better accommodation options for the price. Be prepared to leave a 500 Mexican peso deposit in cash, which will be returned at the end of your stay if everything is in order. It's a very basic and makeshift property. It has a rather uninviting terrace, a basement with a living room and dining area, and on the main floor, the bedrooms, reception, a dark room (quite boring), and service areas. There are few showers, few toilets, the rooms are very crowded, and there's little natural ventilation, which is sorely needed, since some guests, at least during this winter season, arrive with the flu or have strong body odor, and natural ventilation is essential. The property is not suitable for people with reduced mobility because it has many steps and no elevators or ramps. As for the internet connection, it's mediocre; it doesn't work in all areas of the hostel, and the streaming TV kept freezing due to the weak internet signal. It lacks amenities. Upon arrival, you're given a blanket and a bath towel. There's no hair dryer, body lotion, or shampoo. The only thing in the shower and sink area is "Umbro" brand soap, which is terrible—it dried my skin out horribly. If you need any hygiene products or anything for sexual activity, like soda, caffeinated drinks, electrolyte solutions, etc., they sell them to you. As for the staff, I'd say it's just okay. Some are very cold and unfriendly, while others are pleasant and helpful, like the guy who worked the night shift. I never saw any team-building activities between the staff and guests, nor any activities like a yoga class. The cleanliness of the place is mediocre. The restrooms smell bad, and the rooms are barely mopped, which is essential given the number of people staying there. They offer a complimentary breakfast consisting of coffee, sliced ​​bread, juice, milk, cereal, and fruit. Although it's complimentary, you'll need to wash your own dishes and arrive on time because if you arrive even two minutes late, there's nothing left, as they pack everything away two minutes before breakfast ends. They also offer a 50% discount on the sauna fee, which must be paid in cash to receive the discount. Overall, I recommend the property with a reservation, as there are several areas that need improvement.

I didn't like it. Most of the guests are elderly, they don't bathe, they sleep all day, they don't want any noise, and the hostel smells bad. In the morning, a guy comes in to do yoga naked and is very rude when he clears the terrace area. I don't recommend it; it's better to stay in a nice hotel and go to the Spartacus Sauna—that's the best option.

I've stayed at Spartacus Hostel three times now, Pride 2025, August 2025, and for their 1-year anniversary in November, 2025. It's as it appears in pictures on their website and better in-person! Spartacus was my both my first-ever bathhouse and hostel and both are unmatched so far in my experience. Having a full kitchen was nice, especially for my first visit which was for three weeks. Filtered drinking water, hot water showers, and consistent cleaning by the staff were all nice touches. The manager Julio along with staff Jovanni and Gabriel were amazing during my first visit. I’m typically not a hostel person, but I thought I would give this one a try since it was men only. The facility is clean. The staff is friendly There is a 500 peso deposit that you will receive back after you turn in your wristband at checkout so bring cash. There are rooms that house 4 people and other rooms that house more. There is a sundeck on the second floor. Lockers are wristband activated, so you do not need to bring your own lock. There is a small dark room for fun. There is a 50% discount for their sauna with your wristband. Bring ear plugs. I would’ve loved to stay here an extra night if people didn’t snore.
