One of the best highlights of our vacation was when we asked the after hours waitressing staff at Kelly’s dockside dinner venue if we could fish off their dock after hours. We brought our fishing equipment, and the locals gave us the tip that that’s where the big snook are, just off the dock. One waitress who was there after hours, named Trista, was the kindest kindest person I’ve met in a long time. You know when someone genuinely wants to see you have fun, instead of have monetary interest through your interaction? That was her. She must’ve stayed watching us fish and cheered us along until around midnight. Shortly after she left, we caught our record snook, and the restaurant chef, guided by the general manager of the resort, prepared it two different ways for us to have dinner the following day. What a highlight. I wish I remembered the chef’s name, because she as well was extraordinary. A very young girl, but very charismatic and personally came out to our table to get feedback after everything she served. 😍 And now I know why snook has tight laws around the world, because it instantly became my favorite fish. She also prepared it perfectly. Overall, the resort is a wonderful couples experience if you’re looking for romantic atmosphere, live saxophonists, and just an overall breathtaking view and escape. Best place for couples in love.

My husband and I had the greatest experience at Sandals Halcyon Beach celebrating our honeymoon!! We stayed in a Butler Level Room that overlooked the beach and it was everything we could’ve imagined and more. Halcyon was just what we were looking for to balance relaxation and night life. The staff was friendly, our butlers were incredible, the food was delicious and the beach was superb. The restaurants had a great variety and room service was fast and delicious. Our butlers catered to our every need and had the beach set up for us each morning and helped arrange reservations and excursions. Would 100% recommend, we can’t wait to go back! Thank you Halcyon Team!!

This was our first time going to St. Lucia and Halcyon and it was a great experience! It was such a relaxing vacation. We took the private transport and both of our drivers were friendly and gave history about the island. We went during carnival and it was fun to see the culture and festival. The food and drinks were amazing. Club sandals concierge staff were incredibly helpful. Staff were above and beyond! We stayed in the crystal lagoon walkout room and it was convenient to everything. It is a quiet, intimate resort that is great for relaxing with no pressure. There is a shuttle that goes to the other 2 resorts which is convenient. Shoutout to Dylan and DJ Destiny! Entertainment was great! Overall, would definitely come back!

I want to leave an honest review for people like us who travel yearly (sometime several times a year) and haven’t stayed at a sandals before. We typically book something close to what sandals calls their club level. You get a shared concierge with others in your category. Now, at other resorts, this concierge and the club level entitle you to some preference when making reservations and typically has a wide variety of snacks out most of the day.Here at sandals, we were told we couldn’t get a reservation at the one restaurant we wanted to try the first day. Other members at sandals say you can book that first night weeks in advance but the app, calling the hotel, and the messaging service said it would be taken care of upon arrival. On top of this, sandals app says they have something special for anniversaries etc. At other resorts, this meant that our concierge knew what time our excursion was done and had either special snacks, drawn a bath, left out rose petals etc for our date. I’ve even had non club level hotels leave us a card and bottle of champagne. Sandals did nothing like this. Not even an acknowledgment at our scheduled dinner. When a manager asked 2 days later and I told her we got nothing, she seemed surprised. Then the night before we left they brought a slice of chocolate cake and card that was preprinted. The resort is beautiful, but at the price point we expected beach service bc the beach really should be a highlight here. We only saw one server at the beach once, returning from a butler room delivery and never saw them again. They also do not have beach umbrellas for all the chairs and you can’t rent one, or so we were told. Again, strange for such a lovely beach at a 5 star resort. Let’s talk again about the club lounge- those listed snacks on the website are not what’s available all day- there is typically one to 3 very small and limited items available for grab and go. The latte machine seems to conveniently not be working every morning when breakfast buffet was happening, making it seem like they wanted to funnel everyone there rather than utilizing club services. There is no atm on the property, you can only do one cash withdrawal per their policy of $100 for the entire stay. This really bites bc they handle the excursions but how can you tip these outside vendors? You need cash. The outside excursions were the absolute highlight of the trip. There is a sandals offered snorkeling tour that’s 2 hours round trip- this means you ride 30 mins there, snorkel 30 minutes, wait 30 minutes for a ride to come back and shuttle you back to the hotel, and then another 30 minutes of driving back. It was fine, but the waiting seemed a bit much when it could’ve just let you swim longer. The private tours we took, the staff was amazing! We did one to the springs and one for snorkeling- the people running these made us feel so welcome and we were so grateful to be there. Is the staff at Sandals bad? No, they just either wanted to do everything possible or didn’t care at all. Housekeeping typically came between 3-5 pm, even tho we were gone by 8:30 and back around 3:30 for our excursions, meaning we wanted a shower upon our arrival but had to wait on the room to be cleaned and replenished. I just don’t think they should call the room a club level room if the only upgrade you really truly got from basic services is the room’s view. There was just a lack of attention to customer needs. We purchased this resort and level based on recommendations from other people but to me, it should have a much lower price point. There was nothing bad about the resort, it’s just wasn’t great. It was fine. And no person buying a club level room at a 5 star resort wants just fine. I should also add that the night before leaving, they called the room about 7 time to try to remedy any issues and offered 10000 loyalty points for a future stay, which we respectfully declined due to the experience not being impressed enough to stay at a sandals again. They then offered us a $300 credit. Which is fine, but that amount does seem a bit low.

Great location, but the service is a real problem. First of all, it was our anniversary, and they did nothing. That’s never happened. Second, they do not have an ATM, and the front desk will only do $100, and they will only do that once. The problem is they don’t tell you that up front so we ended up with a taxi driver that had to wait a day to get paid. I asled before I booked about the ATM. I was told the front desk would give me a cash advance, with no mention of the restrictions. I explained the situation to the manager and she would not budget on the policy to charge my card again. What ever happened to making the customer happy. Just horrible service all the way around. No one here is happy to work here. They hate their job and they show it. They strategically turn off the coffee machine in the club lounge every morning to drive you to the buffet. Forget trying to place an order for room service at night. They are supposed to be open til 10, but you get voicemail a lot when calling in room dining. Also, cockroaches by the pool. Real nice.

I'm blown away by my experience here. Very private feeling and exceptional service. The staff made my experience even more. So glad we picked this location for our honeymoon.

Had an amazing experience. Our butlers aria and Ajay were incredible. Highly recommend as we went with a large group, definitely the quieter of the 3 resorts. Stunning landscape, amazing sunsets. Highly recommend the boat transfer as well

Such a lovely destination for my honeymoon with great restaurants, bars, swimming pools and activities. Our only problem was the rooms and the management... our air conditioning broke for 2 days and they ignored us for a while before finding us a new room which wasted the most of one day, then we had cockroaches in our bathroom pooing near our toothbrushes! The management ignored that completely and ignored our complaints.

My husband and I stayed at St Lucia Halcyon for a week early July. While the resort itself was nice, we found ourselves waiting for meals for 2 hours at Kelly’s and also being cornered by spa employees at least twice a day. The primary issue we have had with Halcyon is getting any responses from the resort. The resort prescribed severe, unwarranted medication that required us to cut our honeymoon short (when arriving in our home country, they were shocked by this prescription and had to prescribe 2x other things to counter act). Since, we have had to call back 2-4 times to get the appropriate paperwork from Halcyon to get our refunds with travel insurance. We won’t be staying at a Sandals resort again. EDIT: emailed them, as they ask below, and again am not hearing back 🙃

My wife and i went to celebrate our 35th anniversary. This was our first such experience but definitely will not be our last. We chose Halcyon beach for its relaxed reputation. They exceeded their reputation. The place transformed us, almost immediately from a stressed out, over worked couple to the most relaxed that we've been in many years. The entire resort is beautiful, exquisitely maintained, and welcoming. It's thoughtful layout feels plenty private while being only steps from restaurants, bars, pools, room accommodations, and the beach. The staff was really superb. They all greeted us as they sincerely cared about us with every encounter. The food was quite good at any of the restaurants and the drinks flow at whatever pace you desire. We had an amazing time and talked often about how we wished it could last much longer. Side note. Arrive at the St. Lucia airport with an ink pen. You'll be expected to fill out a paper customs form in a bit of chaos, and there isnt an ink pen to be found.
