Gegend um Alton-St. Louis Hotel

Nice hotel with a very Mexican restaurant attached. I liked it. Was in renovation.

They were renovating while we stayed but everything was still alright. The room was clean and modern. The breakfast was good.

Was undergoing renovation. Room was good.

The bathroom was pretty dirty, literal chunks of wall were crumbling and missing, the bathroom door didn’t close all the way at the bottom and looked as if someone had tried kicking it in. The breakfast was minimal (for a ‘buffet’) and the water / juice jugs had scum in the nozzles from not being properly cleaned. Chunks would come out into the drinks. This last stay was waaaay worse than the time before. We won’t stay there again.

Barely any Verizon cell service. You have to stand at the windows on the room to make a call. The shower... The water temp is uncontrollable. When I asked at the dreadful I was told all they can do is either move me to another room or have someone come look at it. I'm tired I've driven all day. Moving or having somewhere here tonight is not OK for me. It should have been fixed before my arrival. I will not stay here again.
