Hyatt Regency Tamaya - A New Mexico Resort & Spa

Planning a meeting or celebrating a special occasion this place is phenomenal! Extremely friendly from the greeter at the door to the party planner, all were exceptional. Charming atmosphere and beautiful grounds.

Was awesome and staff was very helpful and caring. Had an incident but staff took care of it right away. The place was immaculate in the rooms. Great bedding and showers. Told my wife about it and showed her pictures. Would like to come and stay sometime.

Property is beautiful. Front desk and hospitality staff are very nice. For exorbitantly priced rooms, you will be surprised to find yourself struggling to obtain information and obtain housekeeping services. Restaurants they say are open aren't. 24 hour room service isn't. If housekeeping hears you in the room, they slide a "person occupied" card under your door and never come back or ask if you need anything off the cart. They also claim to be dog friendly but will not offer to clean your room or even replace extra towels and trash with pups in the room. And i mean pugs. They snap at you if you ask to schedule a cleaning time to have the dogs out that "they don't do that but will as a courtesy" then show up extremely late and unfriendly. If someone had told me 3 nights in an executive suite meant begging for basic housekeeping. I booked three rooms over the weekend and spent thousands of dollars only to feel like eating was a hassle and i had to go tit-for-tat via text message on mother's day, of all days, to get basic hygiene in the room after they left it dirty all of the second day and night. I won't spend top dollar again to be treated like a bargain hotel.

​I can’t say enough good things about this place. From the second I pulled up, the customer service was on point—everyone was super friendly and helpful. ​The resort is spotless. The rooms were perfectly clean, and let's talk about that water pressure—it was a highlight after a long day. Plus, the views are absolutely spectacular. ​One of the best parts was just how safe I felt. The security and overall atmosphere made it so easy to actually relax without a single worry. ​The food was a total win. Whether I was sitting down at the restaurant or just ordering room service to chill, every meal was delicious and fresh. ​If you're looking for a flawless desert getaway, this is the spot.

Went to the Tamaya Mist Spa for a massage and relaxing day. Check-in was a breeze. Relaxing Lounge was small. I was called back to the room for my massage and once on the table I noticed drool on the floor and hair. It was as the room had not been cleaned previously. The massage therapist then put on rubber gloves to do the massage. I walked out of there with the total ick and won't be back.Not the quality I expected from a high end place. Hyatt, do better!

There is no “Spa” that is part of the hotel rate. To use sauna and steam room you have to buy a day pass that costs 50$ pp. Only if you book a treatment you can also use the spa (and the treatments of course are in the range of 200$, plus mandatory 20% service charge). For this price per night and the huge SPA “name” we’ve expected that you can use the basic spa amenities - but no. The swimming pools were either closed for the season, or very dirty - not sure when the season opens if end of April the temperatures already reach 80-90s during the day and still everything remains closed. There is no jacuzzi either. At the end of the day this is just a HOTEL and if you want a Spa you have to pay for everything, so might just go anywhere else and book a premium spa for half a price. There is a long walk to your room as other reviews described as well. Great that you can get a Starbucks coffee inside since there is nothing around, the closest place with good coffee is 20 minutes drive from there.

As a Globalist, I am entitled to specific benefits that are clearly outlined under the World of Hyatt program. Unfortunately, during my stay, these benefits were not honored at all. Specifically: * My Globalist status was not acknowledged upon arrival * Resort fees were not waived * No room upgrade was offered despite availability * No complimentary water or welcome amenity was provided * My request for a late checkout was outright refused These are not discretionary perks—they are core benefits of the Globalist tier. The complete disregard for these entitlements reflects either a lack of training or a deliberate failure to comply with Hyatt’s own program rules. This experience was not only disappointing but unacceptable, especially considering the loyalty and volume of business required to achieve and maintain Globalist status. At no point did the staff attempt to remedy the situation or provide any form of accommodation after these issues were raised.

Excellent location between Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Also good location to drive to Chaco National Park.

The room was great. Services they provided my family activities throughout the day. Swam at night with heated pool for the children. The cherry on top was the Smores kit and the fire pit to sit at was something that wasn't expected. My family enjoyed our stay.

Driving up to the resort, it truly feels like you're entering a private, exclusive getaway, tucked away from everything. Beautiful, classic New Mexican architecture surrounded by desert and mountain views. The grounds are beautiful with options for biking (included), tennis/pickleball, walks, horseback riding, and golf. Located about 30 minutes north of Albuquerque and 45 minutes south of Santa Fe, made it easy to spend time in either. We were able to check in early, which was so nice after an early travel morning. Our room was large and included the classic hotel amenities, including waters. We were staying slightly during the off season, so two pools were open, which was fine as it wasn't that busy and it didn't get hot until about noon. Due to the location of the resort, it is easiest to eat at the property and there are a couple of options available: The Corn Maiden - nicer dining experience, Santa Ana Cafe - casual sit-down, Rio Grande Lounge - bar and bites, and Plaza - pool cafe. During our visit the Plaza pool restaurant was only open on Saturday. We tried in-room dining for breakfast one morning, as we were up early, the eggs had little to no flavor, and a couple of our items were forgotten/late. Not a huge deal as we understood they were training a lot of staff during the time of our stay. Overall, the food throughout all the dining options was just okay, and if there were more dining options close by, I would probably go there. The restaurants all tasted the same and there didn't seem to be much variety. It would be nice if at least one of the dining options was a different kind of cuisine to bring some variety. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, the staff was so friendly and helpful. There are plenty of activities to do at the resort and we loved that they had nightly s'mores. The room was great, but food could be better.
