I stumbled on this place while thrift shopping two weeks ago as a fresh out of the closet lesbian, still awkward from my unaccepting upbringing. I went home to research some of the products there and knew this was the store for me! I came back today to upgrade my minimal amazon supplies and couldn’t be happier. Sex positivity has a really important and special place in communities for people that might not have access to that support otherwise❤️

Asked for a product and was told that “they’re an educational store only.” Did not feel welcome as a member of the community. I was there with my straight girl friend and they were blunt and rude to both of us. If you are a cis-man go somewhere else.

Fantastic place and amazing customer service. I felt like we really lucked out with the person who was there helping me and my trans teenage son. I can’t begin to tell you that your help was literally life saving for him 🙏. Trans tape is amazing stuff!!! And for such a small store they had so much to offer in this area of great need. I can’t thank you enough for being a resource and being so lovely 🩷. It was a true lighthouse for us.

Wonderful, safe, and fun shopping experience. I would highly recommend for any LGBT individual/couple staff member was incredibly nice, and their stock had a huge variety. I purchased several items and they are of good quality.

This is one of the most body positive sex shops I have encountered. Their welcoming staff will make you feel right at home with any questions you may have. I still order from them online since moving out of state.

This is a beautiful, queer, well-stocked, and inclusive space! No matter what you’re looking for, they’ll have it or have a great recommendation. Major props to the owners and salespeople (especially Eli!) for making Awakening such a fun and safe place to explore.

An unassuming yet colorful storefront invites you in to experience life with more joy and pleasure. This shop is so friendly and fun! The people who work here are very helpful, knowledgeable, and caring. I bought a creative colorful patch for my friend’s birthday. There are a ton of great books, toys, lingerie, cards, stickers and more! They were also offering a “dead toy exchange” which just made me laugh out loud. But hey 15% off that’s nothing to sneeze at. I highly recommend this locale for anyone looking to add some excitement, fun, and adventure to their life!
