The Blue Jay

We rented The Blue Jay for a company anniversary open house. The space was perfect and we loved the patio and bar area. The staff was excellent to work with as well. I plan to hold events here in the future.

This place is very overpriced for what it is. The room was small and had no windows. They also don’t allow you to check in until 4pm and they make you check out at 10am. A staff member walked into our room at about 10:10 and was pretty rude about rushing us to leave. There’s only 4 or 5 small rooms, so not sure why they require 6 hours of time where no one can use the space. The bed is nice and the place was clean, but there’s a million better options for places to stay in GR at that price. Avoid.

The Blue Jay was perfect. We rented the whole place for out of town guests for our daughter’s wedding. It gave us an awesome place to hang out between the ceremony and the reception. I can’t recommend it enough!

Stayed at Blue Jay for 5 nights during work conference. I was initially skeptical of this hotel based on the few number of reviews. However, my experience was very good. The check-in and check-out process was easy through the app. The room was clean, had a comfortable bed, and nice bathroom. The shared kitchen and outdoor spaces were nicely decorated and kitchen was well stocked with coffee and kitchenware. The hotel is located in a cool area just west of downtown Grand Rapids with bars and restaurants within walking distance. I also walked the 15 minutes to and from the DeVos Center for my conference, which wasn’t bad, but there is also a shuttle. I was able to easily get a ride share at 5:30am to the train station for my return trip. Two negatives were that the room itself was pretty small and the WiFi in my room was poor. I had to use a personal hotspot. I would stay here again

This is a stunning place! Awesome space for an intimate gathering. The beds are very comfortable and perfect to come home to after a night out!

A truly nice place but I would have preferred my room to be cleaned daily. The check in requirements were a bit silly.

Recently stayed at this cute hotel and was very impressed. From the start, the contact free check in process was smooth with clear instructions. The room itself was clean, decorated great, and had a comfortable king bed. Despite being a small hotel there was a lot of effort put into making it feel cozy but modern. The hotel is located on the west side and just across the street and down the road from many good bars and restaurants if you want to hit the town. Would love to stay here again and suggest it to anyone stopping through Grand Rapids.

We used The Blue Jay for one of our C.E. events earlier this month for 616 REALTY and it was a great venue! Definitely recommend the space!

The BlueJay was perfect for our event. Everyone commented on how beautiful the space was and how much they preferred it over the more formal, seated venues we've used in the past. Check-in and check-out were a breeze and it was super easy to connect into the music system. The space was just as nice as it looked in the pictures and we will definitely be booking again in the future!

Stayed for 2 nights. Great experience! There is no front desk, more of an air b&b experience with a full common use kitchen and back patio area. Rooms are spacious and well designed and decorated. Right on the edge of what I'd call downtown. Go left, neighborhoods, go right, restaurants, bars and more. Will definitely be back!!

This place is epic!!! Such fun interiors and a great spot in the heart of everything on Bridge Street. A great spot to stay with groups of friends as there is a huge gathering area with an outdoor space for games like corn hole. I don’t think there is a better spot to stay in Grand Rapids. Will be back soon for sure.

My wife and I stayed here the other day for a night away without the kids. It is a beautifully finished building with great access to restaurants and nightlife. They communicate well. It was simple to check in and out. We will definitely stay here again.
