Clean rooms and central to quite a bit. My two complaints include limited parking (though I was later informed that they validate the parking structure across the street) and the thin nature of the walls – I could easily hear my neighbors speaking normal volume on one side of my walls.

The service was subpar. They did not clean our room and we had to ask repeatedly for them to have someone come by. Also, the hallway smelled terrible the whole trip which made for an uncomfortable journey back to our room. The location is great though.

Decent hotel with comfortable beds and a good shower, which made for a pleasant stay overall. However, the biggest downside is the noise. The walls seem thin, and you can easily hear children in neighboring rooms, staff in the hallways, and general activity throughout the hotel. Parking is another frustration. Not only is it limited and inconvenient, but it’s also an additional expense, so expect to pay at least $12 per day on top of your room rate. If you’re looking for a comfortable place to sleep and don’t mind some noise, it’s an acceptable option. However, light sleepers may want to consider other accommodations.

We stayed there for the 2026 convo weekend. Very good hotel located close to Cornell and downtown Ithaca. The staff were nice and greet us warmly on a very late Friday night. On Check out day I left my cosmetic bag in washroom and they spent efforts to locate it and give it to my sister in Ithaca. Thank you!

As a longtime Ithaca local, I wanted to share my recent experience with the Hotel Ithaca parking lot and encourage others to be extremely careful when parking there. For many years, this lot was commonly used by locals as overflow downtown parking, especially when street parking was limited. Recently, signs were posted indicating parking restrictions. While I understand that signage was present, there was very little additional information provided—no clear contact information, hours of enforcement, or details about who was managing the lot. I parked while picking up dinner and was gone for less than 45 minutes. During that time, my vehicle was towed. What made the situation especially frustrating was what happened afterward. When we went into the hotel to ask for assistance, the staff were dismissive and largely unapologetic about what had happened. Sara did attempt to contact management, but neither manager answered. While I understand that the hotel may not directly control towing operations, there was very little effort made to help resolve the situation or show any empathy for the inconvenience and expense we had just experienced. The towing experience itself was even worse. The company was difficult to reach by phone, only accepted cash, and required us to meet at what felt like a very questionable pickup location. The representatives were extremely rude and unprofessional throughout the process. What was most disappointing was seeing tow trucks seemingly waiting nearby for people to park. It gave the impression that drivers were being targeted rather than educated or warned. Given the ongoing lack of downtown parking, I worry about how experiences like this may affect local businesses that rely on customers coming downtown. I’ve been parking in this lot since I was 16 years old, back when it often sat nearly empty. Seeing it become associated with experiences like this is genuinely sad. My advice to anyone visiting downtown Ithaca: if you’re staying at Hotel Ithaca, make absolutely sure you have the proper parking pass and understand the parking rules before leaving your vehicle. The towing company involved provided one of the most disrespectful, inconvenient, and unpleasant customer service experiences I’ve ever had, and the entire ordeal left me questioning whether I want to return downtown in the future.
