Western Inn & Suites

We were on a road trip from Rockford IL to Douglas Georgia and we were on a tight budget. On the way down we stayed at some one star places which were based off false reviews. The Western Inn and Suites was an amazing surprise. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out we had a wonderful stay. The rooms were very clean and spacious, in a standard room you have a sitting area with a couch, coffee table, desk and chair and is separate by a half wall is the bed, tv and bathroom. We had a king size no smoking room (the hotel has smoking rooms). We are smokers but we don't smoke indoors which wasn't an issue because it's an open hotel which I mean all rooms open up to the outside. I would definitely stay again if I was in Douglas again. I couldn't have asked for anything better in my budget. In my opinion it was better than what we paid.

I will never stay here again I was there 4 hours and I notice as soon as I laid down somethig bit me on my legs and I showed him the bed bug and he told me I brought it in and I most definitely did not no refund or anything

Only basic service. No breakfast. Rooms old. Kinda dirty.

The room was clean however it had a foul smell to it. The room we were in only had one plug as the others did not work so we could not charge our phones

My husband and I got stranded in town overnight when our truck broke down. Most of the places in town were completely booked. So going down the list we booked here. We called front desk to book, gentleman was very pleasant, he directed cleaning staff to get a room ready. When we got there shortly after calling, the room was ready. Is it fancy, no. Could it use updating, yes. But it was clean, comfortable. No bad smells, no bugs. I was concerned when after booking I then scrolled reviews, I know, but with the shortage of rooms we impulsively booked. Turned out to be not bad at all. We were w/o a vehicle and pleasantly surprised at the places to eat and get essentials within a short walking distance. Overall not a bad experience at all.
