The Oliver Hotel Knoxville, von Oliver

Just enjoyed a long concert weekend stay at the Oliver. Staff (Chris at the front desk in particular!) was wonderful! Friendly and genuinely cared about our experience. Hotel is in a great location convenient to Market Square, Old City, Gay Street etc. with the University only a 20-ish minute walk. Peter Kern Library and Oliver Royale both executed fantastically. Older building and walls were a bit thin. Renovation is well done but our room showed a tiny but of wear and tear - loose carpet etc. That said, these small negatives were heavily outweighed by the care and quality of the team and if smaller, historical boutique hotels are your thing... The Oliver's a must. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we are in Knoxville!

Really charming hotel with a very cozy bed. And, their customer service is exemplary!! Chris is amazing!! So is Shaq and Telicia. They have a coffee maker & blow dryer in the room. The snacks are yummy. And complimentary water is a nice touch. They could source toilet paper that is more gentle. And increase the water pressure, which is probably more difficult to do. The rooms & bathrooms are big (some pictures don’t indicate that) and really nice. We couldn't have been happier with our experience staying here.

Fun boutique hotel....

Easy to check in and out, I used the valet parking and glad i did. They even circled back because i forgot something in my car. Staff us so friendly and helpful.

If you're visiting Knoxville, this is a great place. Lots of charm and character. Great location and a friendly staff.

The absolute BEST experience, twice in a row! I travel to Knoxville once a month for work and have quickly claimed this as my go-to spot because of so many things. The customer service (greeting with a glass of complimentary champagne, which I have to turn down until the end of the business day haha), a cozy room filled with snacks, beverages, information on the hotel and things to do in the area and the COZIEST bed! There is also a speakeasy with amazing cocktails as well as their restaurant. You can tell that they care a ton about every single detail and the quality of their food and drinks because they are superior. See you next month, Oliver!

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on 2/13 on the third floor. This was in the top 5 worst hotel stays I’ve had in my 34 years alive and I’ve stayed at a LOT of hotels all across the country. The hotel has extremely creaky floors. You can hear every little thing everyone around you is doing. Super thin walls. When I checked in with the guy working at the front desk, he explained zero things to me. That is when you’re supposed to let the customer know what amenities your establishment offers, what time check out is, and maybe tell the customer what local eateries there are. Maybe say happy valentines weekend. Something! And the next morning when I checked out he argued with me about a charge on my account and then he said it’s a hold. Why argue with the customer and why not just say that from the start? Unnecessary and completely rude and unprofessional. Not to mention my room had stains all over the carpet, no tub as advertised for my room, water pressure was awful and never got hot, toilet paper was sandpaper, discolored paint patches on the ceiling, tiny room, elevator super tiny, I could go on and on. Will never stay here again. They’re CRAZY charging $262 for this room. I stayed at a comfort suites hotel the very next night for half the price and the comfort suites has way better room, service, etc.

Judgemental and discriminatory hotel management/front desk. Do not go here. Laura is primarily the problem (perpetually “out to lunch”) although Chris was slightly disrespectful and awkward too.
