The Los Angeles Convention Center is pretty comparable to other large US city convention centers. I attended the American Psychiatric Association’s annual meeting in May 2025 that was held in the LA Convention Center. There are numerous meeting areas, exhibit and lecture halls, small conference rooms, group discussion spaces, and four outdoor plazas. With over 720,000 square feet of exhibit space, there’s more than enough areas to get lost and then find exactly what you’re looking for. They have a food court area where I got a great platter of buffalo chicken fries for $16 then paid half that amount for a 32 oz Diet Coke. Overall, the Los Angeles Convention Center has the unique ability to feel both massive and intimate at the same time.

The LA convention center is similar to most major convention centers in having a mix of large event halls, exhibit space, and a variety of rooms for presentations and smaller group activities. Overall, the space is bright and airy and the meeting rooms are comfortable. Like all convention centers, it's a must to wear comfortable shoes. The signage here is confusing at times which makes matters worse. Security in the area is very good and the security guards at the doors were invariably friendly and helpful. The area around the convention center included the LA Live space with a number of restaurants but was otherwise less vibrant than I'd anticipated. Also, I visited a number of tourist attractions but all were 30+ minutes away (due to traffic). Consequently, although the convention center is nice enough, I wouldn't be thrilled to attend another meeting here.

All in one place! The Los Angeles / California Convention Center is simply monumental!!! The infrastructure is impressive and the services of the staff of the center is of high quality, they work like Swiss clock. The location is also a plus, as it is in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, next to Staples Stadium (today crypto.com)

I attended a multiple day conference at the convention center and was impressed with the building overall. It is a pleasant mix of glass and metal and the atriums for both the south and west building were flooded with natural light and views of the surrounding areas. The hall we were in was massive and was able to easily accommodate the number of people in attendance, but with the high ceilings and minimum sound absorbers, it had a tendency to be noisy and hard to hold a conversation without shouting. A few other reviewers have noted the bathroom needed to be renovated to match the beauty of the building itself, being dark, dank and very out of date. The food was not very good was another issue, though the staff was all friendly and pleasant and did their best to assist where they could. A fee tweaks and this place were be the perfect place to hold any event.

Participated as an exhibitor for a very large conference. It’s a huge convention center. It’s nice and updated and the temperature throughout the week was comfortable. A few things irked my pet peeves. One, restrooms. Yuk. They were dated, messy, and ridiculously not private. You know the type. About 1 inch gaps voiding all hope of privacy. Another pet peeve, lack of any seating in the main entrance hall. No place to sit. It’s a huge space and not a single seating area. Thirdly, the meals were served in the ballroom which is a 10 minute walk. The conference food was horrible. All preset plates for more than 3k people. Food, sitting open for all the world to walk past sneezing and coughing over. The temp in the ballroom was another story. It was frigid and dark so you couldn’t see what you were eating. One day. That’s all I could do before bringing my own food and finding a quiet spot. There are a few restaurants nearby.

Sometimes it's hard separating a convention center from the event that brought you there and the city it's located in. The physical layout is nicely done with a North and South Tower and a bridge-way that connects them. Large and small meeting rooms are everywhere. This convention center could literally accommodate 10's of 1000's of people at a time. Both the interior and exterior are appealing to the eye. The catered food was well done. While I liked the physical convention building, I did not like downtown LA and the dirty surround area. Crazy high LA pricing abound. You will spend $100's of dollars for a burger and beer with friends. Hotels will be $300 a night with $100's more per night for wifi, parking, etc. Your drive from the airport to this location will be filled with cement highways, brown smog, run down buildings and sketchy areas. It's not pretty at all.

Seem to be well managed with easy access. Nice big and open spaces for any large function. LA Downtown not quite as good. Not recommended to walk at night after sunset. Lot of shady characters.

For the very first time, I attended a Car Show - and this one was incredible! With a close friend, who owns a Mercedes, Porche, 2018 McLaren and 2022 Tesla, I was very knowlegable company - and he was impressed also. He has been to many, many car shows, including this one 10 years ago. The service at the one-seat KIA mobile was A+. Throughout the day, especially at the Ford "ride in" area, we were treated warmly and really VIP. The only negative was signage for Porsche as my friend and I had the toughest time, had to ask 5 diferent workers WHERE we'd find the Porsche drive around. Finally, we located it, and it was a bit disappointing as it was so short. Do understand that we had spent 30 f+ minutes trying to find it, so by that time, we were hoping for more. The arrangement of each car company's offers/models was well-done, and we enjoyed sitting in lots of coming-soon cars - very exciting and peaked my interest in a few models that I previously had no interest in. So all in all, we felt if really was successfully done - and we look forward to next year's!
