Edit: PLAY has booked a past IDF soldier (who is proud of his time served) as the DJ for Pride 2026, then turned off comments when people got upset. This is not how to party. Edit: They removed the DJ and released a statement. The silence of the bystander gives permission to the perpetrator and the statement is silent on what matters. I will be celebrating Pride in Lexington this year. I've been all over the country and this is my favorite place for all of the things that PLAY does. It somehow manages elegance and comfort at the same time. You can dance your whole heart out or you can vibe with the beautiful queens or you can smoke on the patio if you're not into all the people.

The best shows, the best atmosphere, the best people ever. This place you can't be sad in. As soon as you walk in the doors you become alive! If your lgbtq or an ally this IS your element. Drinks so good. I've never ordered food any of the times I've been there so can't speak for it. They also have a seperate dance bar so fun. I also got to meet Myki Meeks and it was an unforgettable night!

The best place at night to spend a pleasant time, dance, have fun, and see a super cool show. I highly recommend it. The only requirement is being able to pay for entry by card, not cash.

I want to give 5 stars because I love this place, I love the drag and the atmosphere. I’m a little saddened of the amount of men who will grab women without asking. It’s happened to me twice now. Now the next time it happens I’m going to report it to someone and I’m not sure if they do anything about it. But all I know is this a safe space and there’s men who will grab your ass or your hands. It killed my vibe.

Nothing spectacular. They only accept cash for the covers but still have tap machines for cards at the bars, They do that on purpose idk why. For a gay bar there’s alot of straights and bachelorette parties now. Kinda ruins the vibe but like I’m not gonna tell them they can’t come lol. Like 5 years ago it was more lgbt. My friend asked out a guy tonight, he was straight, of course. My friend ordered a pizza on doordash around 8 after that and they told us we had to throw it away or go outside to eat it. How are you going to charge me $15 just to sit here on a patio full of straights and then tell me I can’t eat a pizza when you don’t even have a kitchen 🙄. So funnnn. I tried making chit chat with the bartender, she wasnt bad but just kinda dry personality. Not horrible just not fun tbh

both of the bigger sized security guards at the front SPECIFICALLY the one who was putting wrist bands on last night are very rude. Genuinely made me want to turn around and walk right back out like the rudeness and yelling over nothing was absolutely ridiculous… it wasn’t busy at all nobody was holding up any sort of line by taking a few seconds to put their id back in their purse. not a fan of the music the dj played but it’s just not my vibe, only thing here i enjoy is the drag shows which i can always support other than that i don’t enjoy this bar it’s gotten worse over the years i would like to see it improve. maybe start with friendlier staff.
