Dream South Strand

Incredibly impressed with the hotel's hospitality! I had sent them a text message about my room the first night being incredibly noisy due to the bars along the street beneath/across from the hotel and not only did they reaccommodate me in a much quieter room in a different area of the hotel, but the front desk manager, Alex, hand-delivered a "rest and recharge" basket complete with treats for me to have a much more relaxing night stay. Could not be more grateful and impressed!

Excelent for a stop over, is like 3 min walking from south beach, there a lot of entertainment around, the even let you borrow the hotel bicycles for 2hrs to hang around

Rooms and amenities are beautifully designed and very comfortable. Location is highly convenient for enjoying great dining and the nearby beach, less than a block East.

These rooms DO NOT have AC. So if youre hoping to get a reprieve from the Miami heat by retreating to your room, think again! Premium prices yet little to no AC. They only allow it to go down to 78. Not a degree lower.

This hotel does not live up to other Dream hotels. Valet took over 40 minutes to get our car. Room was tiny. No extras in the room We heard trash pick up at 6am Expected a lot more for the price

Other than the location, this hotel Is a motel. Dirty, wallpaper pealing, paint pealing, dirty switch plates everywhere. Musty smell, no fresh air, no amenities. No coffee maker in the room. Very loud all night long. We waited for over a half hour for our car to come and customer service leaves a lot to be desired.

Very disappointed with the customer service during my stay. Guests ahead of me were welcomed with champagne, while I was completely overlooked and had to ask for it myself. I also tried multiple times to get clarification on the $35 beverage credit, but staff were dismissive and unhelpful. I was repeatedly told to “scan the QR code” without any explanation of how to actually use the credit — especially considering there is no in-room service. No one explained that drinks at the hotel bar could simply be charged to the room. Even when I asked for help at the bar, I was treated like an inconvenience rather than a guest. What made it more disappointing was watching staff go out of their way to warmly assist other guests while I consistently felt unwelcome. Very sad experience overall.

Rooms are clean but very small. Keep in mind that you'll likely hear sound travel very easily, as the rooms don't have acoustic dampening, and sound also travels easily within the rooms because of all the glass (big echo). You also won't get a pitch dark environment to sleep in, some light pours through the front door. Good is the location, a 1 min walk to the beach, and the room was clean. The bad is the small size of the room, the low water pressure, and noise. "Feels" more like a 2-3 star hotel at best. Another positive is the nearby Bus Station, easy route to and from the MIA airport with Bus 150, just $2.25. Had no problems checking in, checking out, and the deposit cleared after a couple business days after checking out. Ultimately, I would not stay here at my own cost. I attended for business. Definitely consider your options or outside of South Beach for more flexibility if you can drive. The building needs a makeover, and the single elevator is quite slow. Also I observed the rooftop could be leaking water into its floor panels into the lower units, but that's just an observation, maybe they're fine. If you get a lot of cardio in and sunlight, you'll be able to sleep okay. Hit up muscle beach and the saltwater ocean. It's south beach so naturally there will be more noise. If you want solitude then you may have to go north or west.

Great location, amazing options for dining and drinks, tons of amenities, and an awesome group of people running the show. Colin was extremely helpful and courteous. I highly recommend this property if you're visiting south beach!

Great location. Beautiful hotel. Mariana was an excellent coordinator. She made our small group event an absolute success. We can’t wait to go back.
