New Hope Inn & Suiten

first of all, i want to say that the staff here is very friendly! our room was clean and we were always greeted with a smile. BUT…. there is an insane spider infestation (that is well out of the staff’s control). the spiders are nocturnal and come out specifically on the floors that are facing the parking lot/trees. it was utterly terrifying, to be honest. the staff are aware of this issue and cleared out our floor’s hallway twice so we were able to enter our room, please know the issue isn’t cleanliness/staff because both of these things were great! i’m allergic to certain spider bites, so this is why it was scary for me. i think the spider issue should be public information. :)

I have no idea how anyone could give this place a high review. Our room was dirty with hair on the bed and in the bathtub. It stunk so bad like farts. The toilet lid was scratched with fecal matter ground in the scratches. The anti-skid mat was dirty in the shower. Do they have cleaning people? I slept horribly because the mattress was a lumpy mess; plus I had it in the back of my mind that the sheets perhaps had not been changed. Every single wall outlet was exceptionally loose and dirty. The wall switches and switch plates were dirty. The sink is outside the bathroom, and for someone trying to sleep, it's noisy to run the water. The spigot needs to be moved out an inch or two. You can't wash your hands because the water was spraying out fast and hitting the back of the sink. It splashed all over. We had to use a towel to wipe it down. The a/c was not great. We were in room 111, which was on the first floor. It was convenient to the parking lot. However, the walls and ceilings must be made of balsa wood. You could hear every word people were saying as they noisily passed by. We heard a thumping bass from somewhere. You could hear peoples' clomping feet above us. We didn't even bother with breakfast. With how dirty the room was, we weren't risking it. For the price of this room, which was a lot ($249.75)!!!!, it was abyssmal. I'm seeing much lower rates for this place. Why were we charged so much? We'll never stay here again if in New Port. The front desk personnel didn't even ask us if we enjoyed our stay. Maybe they're told not to ask because they might receive negative feedback. Terrible place!

To start, pictures of hotel show nothing of what it's actually like, once you exit the lobby the rest of the "hotel" is just a dingy old outdated motel that looks nothing like the pictures, a total catfish. 1. The horrible smell of animal urine that plagued the room since the first day, seems like a pet just wizzed all over the matress and cleaning crew was too late before it set in. 2. Leaning crew was nice but overworked and underpaid 3. The allegations of fraudulent charges made to people's account is very alarming, PLEASE FOR THE LIVE OF GOD DONT BOOK WITH THEM, their website is wrongly advertized as rooms look nothing like pictures, 4. In process of booking we saw the website wrongly claim it was part of a Marriott hotel bu then redirected us to the fraudulent booking site. 5. Imcect issues, dead flies in our bathroom, and a giant spider that came in our room after leaving a large web.

They continue to be the best in terms of service and attention, with a spectacular view.

The staff here is mostly very friendly, and the entrance and bar area and pool are really nice. The location is good and convenient, not really walkable, but only a mile from town. The housekeeping staff does a spectacular job. The rooms are crappy and worn down and need to be renovated. Once you walk through the lobby, you are very clearly in a motel. I had to spend 2 weeks here (much better place for a night or two). The ceiling is that white stucco with lights that all have different color temperatures and make you feel like you're in a doctor's office. There is so much wear and tear. The heater in my room worked fine, but there was a draft from an opening to the outside world from the AC unit. The blinds had a detached stick that no one bothered to move and some of the blinders were off the track. The bed was balanced on a crappy piece of wood. There are holes poorly patched in the walls. Despite the housekeeping doing a VERY good job cleaning, the wear and tear of the room makes it never feel really clean. The shower was sometimes hot and sometimes tepid. The beds, which I had a double bed room, were surprisingly pretty comfortable and so were the pillows. The beds are small and the bedding is fine. Overall, if you are in the area for a night or two, go for it if you're looking to save money. If you are planning to stay longer, I would avoid until they are able to do some much needed renovations.

Overpriced for a typical inn/motel experience, but still much cheaper than anything else around. The lobby and location were great, but the mask comes off when you go to the room. Extremely outdated rooms. There were holes in the walls, bathroom so small that the sink is outside the room...actually a huge safety issue, God forbid you pass out on the toilet, nobody is getting the door open to help you. The water pressure in the shower was good but the shower head was awful. No weird smells or stains anywhere. TVs were actually nicer than some more expensive hotels. The bed was Ok but the pillows were terrible. The HVAC units in the rooms did whatever they felt like doing. Went from sweating to freezing to sweating without changing the temp. The outdoor lighting by the pool is a really nice touch. If I ever go back there I'd probably stay there again. Employees were nice though.

Was pleasantly surprised by my impromptu stay here. The room was clean, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet had many things to choose from. I wasn't planning a stay, but needed to book a room immediately when the roads were too foggy and even at midnight, it was seamless service. I booked in the car and my room was ready no problem. Nice family vibe here!

The rooms only have full size beds so it was cramped as you can imagine. The cabinet door that held the fridge was broken and they had to use a wedge of paper to keep it closed. The tub drain was incredibly slow, the faucet to the sink was so close to the edge that water got everywhere on the countertop. The television was about 32 inches which is laughably small. I would say these rooms need some updating but they were clean at least. Not a terrible value for the prices considering the free breakfast. The restaurant staff were very nice people

Location is great, staff is mild mannered polite, didn’t have much interaction, very transactional. They put us in room 203 the mattress was completely caved in the middle. I asked to be moved they put us in 223. Mattress was comfortable and the room looked clean until… I woke up in the morning with a cockroach on my leg. They clearly have a roach problem. If that doesn’t bother you, then it’s a fine place to stay. I would’ve brought it up to the front desk upon check out, I just felt like I wouldn’t have got anywhere with the staff. Hopefully mgmt sees this and get this place cleaned up, because it has the potential but I won’t be back. Hopefully I’ll see a refund, if not I hope this place address the mattress in 203 and the roaches in 223 if not the whole hotel.

No heat in our first room, changed rooms the second room after we got back from dinner toilet did not work and the phone didn't work to call the from desk. I walked down waited 20 minutes no one was working the desk. The guy came in didn't say 2 words to me I had to ask if he worked there. I said at this point I need refund he moved out room again to one not with a King bed and only had 2 fulls available. This was an anniversary trip for us. He said a manager would be viable in the morning when I went down the girl at the desk said they weren't and don't come in to 3 or 4 pm, she said they would call me and address the issues which they have not. I called again and someone said a manager doesn't work often and there is no managers on duty majority of the time. They also said they were aware of the heat not working in the room maintenance knew but didn't tell the front desk, then with the plumbing issues the guys goes, "yeah most of the rooms are like that." I asked why are you giving out rooms then if there are known issues. I have never had an experience like this. Also the front area being unattended is insane and unsafe also anyone could just walk in and take anything. We only needed. a night reservation and it was nothing but a headache with no one answering me or taking responsibility for the wrong that was done by giving out rooms that didn't work. Also moving to 3 rooms in 4 hours in just not it. The front desk people couldn't care less and obviously the managers don't either. Spend a few more dollars and go somewhere else.

Had a new year eve party here, it was marvelous and well organized, the staff was great and the food was good too, also had a stay overnight in one of the rooms it was clean and nice. great place to get your family. l would recommend this place.

This inn fit our needs perfectly for the last-minute one night stay that we needed. We wanted to visit the Peddlers Village and it was late, so we booked this room at the last minute. It's conveniently located in between Lahaska and New Hope. The lobby is nice and clean and updated, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The corridors to the rooms and the rooms themselves could use some sprucing up, they're quite dated, however we still found the room and bedding to be clean, and again it suited our needs for one night. The breakfast was nice and well kept, cheese omelettes, sausage patties, oatmeal, waffles, bagels, toast and condiments and beverages. They have a really nice seating area upstairs and lots of tables and chairs around the outside patio, the pool area looked nice from what we could tell, it was December when we visited so it was closed for the winter.
